1969 Triumph Spitfire

the '69 Spitfire may be the most collectible, the 1300cc engine with twin SU carbs is the best 4 cyl triumph made. this car had an earlier very good amateur restoration. the previous owner had a minor front end collision thus the different bonnet. During the restoration Floor pans were replaced. they are pop riveted in, drill out the rivets and weld or leave as is. The trunk pan is original with no rot. Runs very well and drives, body in very good condition, interior and top very nice, Needs center muffler or replace entire exhaust with stainless for less than $400. this is an easy, easy project. dent in drivers door I have a replacement, I also have a good front bumper. battery shown in photo not correct, now has a new wet cell battery. Tach not working, drive on distributer is turning, most likely a bad cable. Triumphs are a simple straight forward design, which makes them a fun project for the amateur restorer. Almost all parts are available from multiple suppliers. I've been a Triumph nut for 15yrs. this is a fair price for a nice little car. I'm retiring and down sizing.
