Vehicle Detail
Engine works, transmission is reliable, but ... it's not exactly driveable. The good: Engine is in good condition, still gets approximately 28-29 miles to the gallon.About 60k miles on the clutch. Car still shifts smoothly. HOWEVER, about one time in 20, the reverse gear is a little sticky during cold starts.Four solid tires on original wheels.Parking brake is about 18 months old (total replacement).Sunroof.AC is solid. The bad: Throttle malfunction - it keeps opening without application of gas pedal. Needs new windshield - there's one divot on the passenger side that the previous owner had sealed and hasn't spread, but there are now two new cracks, one on either side (see pictures). One of them, I believe, is responsible for a leak at the A-piller on the passenger side. It's tiny, but still pulls water into the headliner in heavy rain.Spastic brakes: There's a vibration in one of the rear brakes. I only noticed it the last time I took the car out, about a week ago. Also, grinding noise. Catalytic converter: The car threw a code about eight months ago. My guy tells me the material in the cat has degraded and it will eventually need to be replaced. I reset the light and it has remained off, but I don't know if it will pass inspection (due in September) in New Jersey or wherever you're coming from.Electrical system has some issues - I recently had the grounds replaced, and they're no longer an issue, but the passenger-side window no longer goes anywhere.Battery still works but it's going as well. The ugly: Body damage - there's a dent on the passenger-side quarter panel and huge scrape on the passenger-side door (see pics). It's all cosmetic but hard to ignore.Front bumper - it's bound with paracord (see pics).Paint is fading.
