1978 Mercedes 450SL Convertible with only 117,300 original miles. This Mercedes looks, runs and drives GREAT! Structurally the car is solid as a rock. Floor pans, valances under the bumpers, rockers are very clean and this car was never exposed to winter conditions. I see no evidence of an accident on this car. The car had a minor restoration around 6 or so years ago where the whole car was repainted the original dark blue color and the seats were redone. The canvas soft top is brand new and installed by one of the best in the Business a few weeks ago. All 4 Dunlop tires match and have good tread. The 4 wheel disk brakes stop this car smooth and quick. The shocks have been replaces not too long ago. The exhaust system is all factory style components in nice shape. It has lots of power and stays cool with no smoking at all. There are no drips on the floor when the car is parked. The fluids are all in good shape. The transmission shifts through all of the gears just when it should. The R134 Air Conditioning even works!! The heat works well also. The radio is a Blaupunkt aftermarket with modern speakers that sounds pretty nice. The power antenna works too! The clock even works on this Mercedes! The horn, lights (including fog lights) locks, power windows, wipers, dash lights are all working on this Jewel. Cruise control is not working. The Mercedes lived in Wyoming and then in NY for the past 4 years. It was stored during winters. No hard top. I have a clean New York State title in hand.
