1986 Honda TRX250R Fourtrax Quad! 86 TRX 250R - Almost All Original, True California Survivor Fourtrax with CA Title! This Beautiful TRX was traded in to a Honda dealer by the original owner. One of the Honda employees appreciated what it was and purchased it. He kept it stored at the dealership for years and years before finally deciding to let it go. Now it is your chance to own this very clean Fourtrax! This is a low hour, un-abused and un-molested example of one of the best quads ever made! This 250R fires up easily with just a kick or two, it idles, it runs strong, it shifts smoothly, the headlight works (high and low beam), the tail light works and all four OEM tires hold air! This quad is mostly all original, un-touched and in excellent condition for the year! It is becoming very hard to find them in this shape! Here is a list of items known to be non-OEM or a concern:1) Front brake lines were changed out (not sure why) and front brakes are not currently working. I probably have a stock set of lines that I could include, if buyer desires. 2) Rear skid plate is missing. 3) K&N Air Filter was installed, which I consider an improvement. Most of the stock ones have disintegrated by now. 4) The rear shock was rebuilt for better handling! Again, not sure why because this bike was hardly ridden. However, the stock blue spring was replaced with a red spring. Actually looks good! 5) The original tool box is there and has some tools, but not a complete set and no owner's manual. 6) The light switch works (on/off & high/low), but the main on/off button broke off and the bike now has a push button kill switch. The bike will start without touching any switches and is killed by pushing the button. I personally consider these minor things (besides fixing the front brakes of course), but I wanted the buyer to be aware! I purchased one of these 1986 blue and white TRX250Rs brand new when I was a kid! I loved that 250R! This is honestly the nicest one I have seen since buying mine off the showroom floor. Amazing after all these years. Please view pictures "closely" ask ANY questions you have PRIOR to buying!!! I will do my best to answer in a timely manner. Although this bike is in very nice condition for it's age, it is over 32 years old and has scratches, rub marks, dents and other imperfections! I do my best to take good pics and have a good description. If you want a new bike, go to your local dealer. These 250Rs haven't been made in over 30 years, are becoming BIG TIME collector's items!
