2001 Celica GTSGTS suspension is PERFECT with the tires I have complimenting it. Bought brand new by sister at Dallas Toyota dealership.I have been driving it exclusively for 4 years and have really enjoyed the car. This is why its a 2 owner car. It's also my fourth Celica to have the pleasure of driving and I can say the car drives and brakes and steers great just like from factory. No squeaks or rusty brake noise, and well cushioned seats. !! Excellent power-train, the transmission is great with the GTS paddle button style gear selectors on the steering wheel itself.You can also manual mode via the transmission lever right there by the center console. My other Celica was the 1986, a 2000 GT manual and a 2001 GT automatic.This silver GTS with the Yamaha engine is way sweeter than the GT's. MOONROOF with sliding cover and sunshade or open and close and have a Moonroof with outside air over your head.LEATHER seats, well bolstered , 3 of the 4 seats rarely sat in. We have no friends :() TEMPERATURE and COMPASS on auto DIM REARVIEW MIRROR. Nice acoustics with Excellent CD cassette am,.fm radio. Get out those cassettes people, dont be shy.Projector style headlights. All the electrics and mechanics have been tip top shape. Beautiful silver bullet style metallic paint with ebony interior and full leather from factory seats and map pockets in back of seats, Vanity mirrors and console holders, glovebox, flip open center cubby and flip up sunshade visor compartment. LOTS of compliments and as we all know there just aren't lots of new 2 door cars being made any more. We see all the Camaro, Mustang, 370 ZX. This one is a rare find and easily just as awesome.SUPER easy to drive, park, and get in and out of, Its safe and simple to drive yet not boring at all. No shopping mall SUV cruising with this one.Locking fuel door compartment and easy open hood for engine access.The lame thing on the car engine is the battery could look nicer because the battery hold on bracket was scuffed and has some rusty look to it now. The battery works great of course its just not shiny looking. You could spend 2 hours on the engine bay and have a show car but just do not get any water in places where its not supposed to go. I just leave the engine alone other than maintenance but I used to be a clean freak on the engine cleanliness cosmetically so your way might be different. This is basically one owner as my sister has just been driving a car I have taken care of and of course helped her pickout and buy. Mileage is just a few turns under 135,000 miles. It is again a DFW metroplex car and has seen a total of 3 weeks of icy snow at best.Front wheel drive so can handle the worst of weather easy,.Variable intermittent wipers and has a dedicated rear wiper on back hatch, Both front and back have excellent wiper spray and clean systems so the glass stays shiny. The side mirrors and locks and windows are all power. This car does not have any missing features or anything that would be missed, 2001 GTS is hard loaded with ALL factory options and has been well taken care of. Failed one inspection as battery was new and the inspection code system was not ready.Also failed one because rear brake light was out. These were easy fixes of course.I would reckon you can buy a car like this for 5k and sell it for at least 3k in 5 years. Can likely sell it for 5k again in 5 years if well cared for.Take into account this 2001 28,400 sticker price and all depreciation is already gone,Car is a no brainer purchase if you want some Celica fun for very little expense,Car is good to go and will be super easy to register and inspect in any state in the USA. I say OEM because indeed they set me back 90 bucks but only the OEM have the safety clip setup and of course the embossed CELICA on the front sides. I have the clean title on this.
