1962 Cadillac coupe deville . NO RESERVE !!!This truly has to be one of the rarest 1962 Cadillacs offered , it has the factory electric bucket seat option . The last picture is of the VIN tag . The 50B is the code for this option .This was a 105 dollar option in 62 . I have heard that as few as 14 were ordered with this option . I have no facts to back that statement . If anyone out there has factual information on this please respond and I will put it in the questions section for everyone to view .Now the story on this 62 .I live in middle Iowa . I bought this 62 and a 64 from a family in Kansas City Kansas . An 87 year old man owned these two cars and they were both kept in a climate controled building . My wife and I took the large enclosed to pick them up in Febuary of this year . After inspecting them I loaded the 64 and my wife drive the truck and trailer home , I drove the 62 and She followed me . That trip was 5 1/2 hours down the interstate at 70 and 80 miles an hour . I stopped twice for gas and had no issues . This weekend I drove it to the vintage torque fest in Dubuque Iowa . This was a 1 1/2 hour trip each way and again at 70 to 80 miles per hour . I think that's a pretty solid description of the condition of this 62 . I put a sign in the window looking to trade for a model A rat rod . I turned down an offer for one that was just completed . It was very nice just not done to my taste .Now for the good and the bad .- new fuel tank- transmission completely rebuilt and receipts to show totaling 1800 dollars- drive shaft completely rebuilt and receipts to show 800 dollars -new master cylinder and power booster and receipts to show 550 dollars-new wheel cylinders , hardware kits , shoes -new battery-new valve cover gaskets-all lights work as the should front to back-the chrome bumpers are perfect and as close to new as you can get . No dents and no rust .-all glass is ok and no chips or cracks-leather interior is in very good condition with no rips or tears-carpet is in very good condition -dash pad has no cracks and dash and steering wheel are in very good condition-original 390 motor runs very good , no smoke and no ticking noises -very solid floor pans , trunk pan , frame rails , all have no rust The bad .- driver rear window won't roll all the way down- front door Windows could use new rubber seals - original radio is gone and replaced with aftermarket one that fits the old radio spot so no modifications to the dash were done -electric antenna will not retract and is always up -tires are Firestone and look like new , however the date code puts them at 2008-very small part of the head liner in the rear , drivers side looks to have come unglued , the head liner looks very nice and is not hanging down in any way-it appears to have been repainted at sometime in its life and is in no way perfect . It is not a show car paint job-if there is any bondo on this car it would be hard to find it-the A/C compressor is missing , every thing else for the A/C is there -the chrome trim on the middle of the body is stick on and should not be there-the rear left tail light housing looks to be bent very little for some reason-some of the window trim on the back window is dented from poor workmanship during its paint job-the electric control for the drivers seat is not that great but it works In closing .This is a very nice and very rare 1962 Cadillac coupe deville . She is very solid and way above average . Please ask questions .
