Vehicle Detail
I’d like to keep this description short and sweet, but to properly describe it, that’s not possible. That being said, here goes. This was my buddy’s bike since April of 2003. He bought it with 1200 miles on it. It was his pride and joy until he died of a heart attack in 2015. I’ve been exercising it at least a few times a year, until I purchased it from his wife in January of this year. I registered it and planned to keep it, but I have other bikes and just don’t have the room. This Goldwing is in fantastic condition! Everything works, it rides beautifully, and needs nothing to head across country tomorrow. The paint and chrome is beautiful. This color, pearl orange was just a one year color, that is rare to find, especially in this condition! It basically looks like an almost new motorcycle. When I get asked what year it is, I say 2016 and folks say how clean it is, and believe me, it is! When I bought it, it had highway pegs, luggage rack and a cb on it.i removed all 3, then sold the pegs and cb here on ebay. I covered the holes from the luggage rack with trim pieces I found at pep boys. I covered the holes from the cb antenna with a reflector. It looks sharp, really sharp! If you ever want to remount the luggage rack, you can simply remove the trim pieces and reinstall in about 20 minutes. Same with a cb. I added fog lights with amber covers, and a few other trim pieces including the saddlebag lights, and above the engine lights. At nighttime it is very visible. I also spent many hours detailing it. From 2003 to 2010 I owned six of these, so I know my way around them very well. I changed the oil, coolant, and rearend oil all within the last 100 miles. Tires and brakes are good to go. It has Dunlop E3’s on it with more than 2/3’s tread left. It rides and handles great! Everything on it works perfectly, including the cruise control, electronic suspension adjuster, electronic headlight adjuster, reverse, stereo etc. Every bulb works, turn signals, 4 way flashers etc included. I installed new front and rear speakers even though it didn’t really need the upgrade, but like I said, I was going to keep it and wanted everything perfect. Included with the bike are a set of Honda OEM rotor covers, Honda OEM luggage rack with mounting hardware, a driver’s backrest, and the official Honda service manual. Both keys and the original remote. The hole is already in the seat for the backrest, so mounting it is a ten minute job. I just didn’t like it. I also have the original trim pieces that were removed in favor of chrome, as well as the footpegs and brake pedal that were removed for kuryakyn floorboards with heel/toe shifter and brake pedal. Also available for $800 is a nice 1989 Escapade trailer. It was supposed to be color matched when it was painted, but it’s actually a few shades darker than the bike. This is a deluxe model with spare tire, chrome swivel tongue, luggage rack, extra lights (not reflectors) built in ice chest and more. Trailer was $2995.00 when new. When pulling it, you don’t even know it’s there. It doesn’t bounce around or rattle. I don’t know the exact cubic foot capacity, but it holds a lot. It doesn’t matter to me if you take the trailer or not. I have a $1250.00 offer for it, but wanted to make it available reasonably priced for the bike’s new owner. I’ll need to know whether you want it or not at time of sale. The bike has a frame mounted hitch kit on it with an easily removable receiver. The wiring is 5 pin, and everything is there to plug and go including chains. All pics are the actual motorcycle and trailer offered here for sale. They were taken April 20th 2018. I took a few more towards night time to show how well lit and visible it is. The trailer is also very well lit. To summarize, this is a truly gorgeous low mileage touring motorcycle with hundreds of thousands of miles left on it. Take care of it and it’s value will hold. If you hit the buy it now, I’ll need a $500 non refundable deposit within 24 hours. I will refund the deposit only if you come to pick up the bike and find something wrong with it that wasn’t included in this listing. I’ll need the bike to be picked up by either the buyer, or the buyer’s shipper within 10 days. If picking up in person, I’d prefer cash. If shipping, a bank wire transfer is preferred. I have a clean, lien free title that you can examine in person, or if shipping I will overnight it to you for free. I’ve been selling and buying on ebay for almost 20 years, so I know enough to treat my buyers as I would want to be treated myself. Do us both a favor though, and if you’re not sure about this purchase, or you need permission to buy it, or any other excuses, please handle them before committing. I don’t want or need to waste my time or yours. Feel free to send a message with any questions you might have. Thanks!
