I have a legitimate 1974 Volkswagen Acapulco Thing I purchased it from the original owner who was 80 years old, approximately 5 years ago. I took it apart and had it painted at that time, and I've been slowly putting it back together. This car has 28 thousand original miles. New German exhaust Brakes and bearings Color is dead on as we wet sanded original and matched Exactly This car is one of the original 300 brought to United States and sold in Texas you will see many many copies of the Volkswagen Acapulco but this is an original. Manufacture date is 6 month of 1974 original Acapulco's were made in 6 &7 of 1974 It is all original metal,original floor pans. Even original front bumper pads, original Dash and more. During the rebuild I purchased all new seals and all new gaskets from the Thing shop in Chandler Arizona new top and new seat covers Wheels have been powder coated with brand new Cooper Tires. This is one of those projects I worked on a little bit at a time, but I no longer have time to enjoy it, I would like to sell to a buyer who would appreciate it. This is one of the rarest Volkswagen things made and brings a smile to everybody's face wherever you go. this is great for marketing, b&bs, or just a Sunday driver I'm asking $22,000 for it.
