Vehicle Detail

This is a 1969 Pontiac Firebird 400 Convertible. Attached in the photos is the PHS MUSCLE CAR packet information I received on the car. We have owned the car since April 2006 and have always kept it in a garage. The engine is a 1969 Pontiac 400 motor but is not numbers matching to this car. (The engine is potentially very valuable, but I have not been able to determine it with my Google searching. One year at Cruising The Coast, a guy came buy and wanted to use all his books to look up numbers and tell me about my car, so I let him. He said the bad news was the engine was 1969, but not numbers matching, He said the good news is that the engine is a sought after 1969 GTO engine a lot of folks want for their restored car. How he was able to determine this I am not sure, so I am not selling it as such.) The previous owner stated the engine has 500HP at the crankshaft but did not supply papers to confirm. The car is cooled with a large Aluminum radiator and two large electric fans thermostatically controlled. The carburetor is a 670 Street Avenger and the intake is an Edelbrock Pontiac Torker. The fuel pump is the Blue Holley, the distributor is Mallory, and the coil is Jacobs Mileage Master Energy Pak Ignition and Coil Kit. The convertible top is manual but works very well and is in great condition. I had the top replaced professionally about 10 years ago. The car has been kept under a car cover as long as we have owned it. I do not have a current photo from under the car, but I do have the ones given to me when I purchased it. Nothing has changed except probably dirtier from driving. We have to pick a mileage when listing the car, but we do not know what it is. The engine was rebuilt right before we purchased it, and we drove it on weekends for the first couple of years and then not so much. So, 50,000 is probably shooting really high, but feels very honest to say. Now to list the items I know wrong with the car: 1.) Paint looks great from about 3 feet away. The paint job has no orange peel and was obviously done really well a long time ago. I don't think there are any door dings at all on the car, but the paint is old and depending on what you are going to do with the car, you might want to repaint it. We never did because we weren't entering it in competitions, we were going to Cruise-Ins and Cruising The Coast for entertainment with our kids. I've included one potential rust spot my friend pointed out. It is not soft and the metal underneath is smooth and solid, so I am not sure why it looks like this but it does exist. I will try this week to post other pics on paint blemishes I find. 2.) The oil pan gasket needs replacing, it leaks. 3.) One hole in the drivers seat cushion about an inch long. It could and should be sewed closed with a curved needle. 4.) The radio sounds terrible and should be replaced. 5.) The passengers side turn signal under the bumper in the front sometimes doesn't flash. 6.) A small white plastic tube under the horn cover on the steering wheel holding the contact needs replacing. 7.) I scratched the trunk lid clear coat, but not deep enough to hit the paint color. 8.) The air conditioning doesn't work, but all the vent/ vacuum parts have been kept and are in a bag. This does not include a compressor. 9.) The back seat cushion directly behind the passenger seat has a small spot that looks like rust on the vinyl. I was not able to remove it, so it will most likely need dyeing. That's it.... This is a very good looking car that sounds extremely tough and is very fast. If you are looking for a hot looking muscle car that turns all heads as you enter a parking lot, this is it. I also tried to show the interior a little bit better.
