1974 BMW R-Series

This is a restored 1974 R99/6 mounted to a velorex sidecar of the same vintage. The bike has dual disk brakes on the front-end, with upgraded forks/steering head to one designed for sidecar rigs. It is significantly stronger than stock. It has an easy pull clutch mechanism so that the riders hand has less work to do. The rear-end was swapped out with another BMW that is lower-geared. A big improvement when the sidecar is loaded. The sidecar frame is from a later velorex and is much stronger than the original one that came with it. The sidecar has its own brake which is activated off of the rear brake of the bike. Although, not shown, we also have the two piece velorex seat for a passenger. The whole rig was painted a corvette red and hand pinstriped. It has even won awards. We are selling this beautiful rig, because it doesn’t get driven as much as it should anymore as she has a younger sibling in the garage. The bike needs the carbs refurbished and the seals replaced. Unfortunately older bikes don’t like ethanol gas and this is a common issue. Please reach out to me with any questions that you might have
