This 1971 Lincoln Mark III, built April 23 1971 was originally delivered to the Bay Area in May of 1971. In the striking Bright Aqua Metallic exterior and Light Aqua interior with white vinyl roof combination, it had spent most of its life with one owner. I found this vehicle in Antioch, CA in the hands of the grandson of the original owner. It had been driven regularly but needed a few cosmetics and brake work. Aside from the worn driver’s seat, the car needed very little in terms of cosmetics. This is a highly optioned car with speed control, tilt wheel, six-way power seats, power door locks, AM/FM stereo, power trunk release, rear defogger, heavy duty suspension. Since owning the car, I’ve done the following: Rebuilt carburetor Replaced main power steering hose Belts and coolant hoses Replaced the water pump and front timing cover seal Re-cored the radiator Rebuilt the A/C system Replaced exhaust manifold gaskets Tune up Added an electronic ignition Tires Brakes /master cylinder, calipers, wheel cylinders, shoes & pads Front and rear wheel bearings Rebuilt the drive shaft Replaced the rear transmission seal Rebuilt the clock Rebuilt both headlight motors Rebuilt both rear window mechanisms Re-upholstered both front seats with leather special ordered from SMS Replaced the exhaust system with the original style including resonators Rebuilt the differential
