Relisted with NO RESERVE Price has been lowered to $1500 NO RESERVE Here you have a 1998 Toyota Rav4 offered for sale. It is a rare 2dr with automatic transmission. It is FWD and not 4WD. This is the facelift model and was only offered for half a year. 1998 only, 1998.5 they started building convertibles into 1999. The facelift has the better dual beam headlights, the digital odometer, the smaller airbag, both rear wing windows open on a 1998 vs only one for a 1996-1997. It has the nicer taillights and a cleaner looking front bumper. I performed minor maintenance on this by changing the plugs and wires. I drove it over 3000 miles around town since I purchased it a few months ago, this was after driving it home from Maine where I purchased it. These are great for using as hunting wagons with heat and AC, or a simple grocery getter that will not break the wallet. 2-20-18 I discovered RUST in the rear passenger rocker area, there is a factory drain hole here. I believe this happened for a number of reasons, Toyota has a history of trucks rusting for no apparent reason. The previous owner at one time put a jack on the rocker to lift the Rav4 and dented it put a hole in it or something therefore allowing the rust to migrate. You cannot jack them up from here it must be done with the tab on the rear arm. Also there is a factory drain hole here that is about 1/2' x 4" and leaves and debris could have been stuck inside. The frame rails are solid, I am an honest guy all the exterior photos were taken 2-20-18 and show the Rav4 in the condition it is being sold. It has a spare tire and may have to be jumped from sitting. Selling only because I purchased a 2DR 5 speed 4WD with dual sunroofs. This is a low mileage 98,500 example but it is a 20 year old car, it is sold as is with no warranty whatsoever, Timing belt was not done by me and I have no service records. I am a private seller.
