Vehicle Detail

1979 MGB chrome bumper conversion with Overdrive TransmissionThis is an original 1979 MGB Roadster that has been converted to the Chrome Bumpers and Chrome Bumperettes with Rubber Tips, and 73-74.5 Style Chrome Grille. It has recieved a full restoration, and is painted the European 1980 MGB GT Limited Edition color: Pewter Metallic Silver(Paint is a modern, state of the art, UV protected Base Coat Clear Coat). It has been lowered 1”, with heavy duty springs front and rear, and has polyurathane suspension bushings, L.E. Sport Steering wheel, and Minilite Knock-Off Wheels with Octagon Knock Offs. The over flow bottle has been polished to reveil the beautiful brass as well as the top of the radiator, which contrast nicely against the sliver paint. This car is extremely detailed in every way. It features several special options such as a polished windshield frame(which matches much better to the side vent windows and REALLY makes the car stand out). This custom made black leather interior with silver piping is truly one of a kind all custome made and can only be found at MGBClassics. ALL pieces match, including: Leather Seats, Leather Shift Boot, and extra padded Leather Center Arm Console Lid. This specially made interior is extremely plush and luxurious and can only be found through MGBClassics, and is truly one of a kind. It has a Pertronix Electronic Distributor for razor sharp timing and reliability, original exhaust manifold, with free flowing exhaust system and Ansa exhaust muffler, and the agressive 45DCOE Weber Sidedraft Carb, both barrels open together, creating more horsepower than the standard original single Zenith carb/which was prone to catching fire, the dual SUs, or the common 32/36 DGV Downdraft Weber carb upgrade. The 45DCOE has greater off the line torque and gives the engine much more top end and really makes the engine come alive overall. The engine itself is extremly smooth running and the oil is absolutely clean. Along with the 4 speed overdrive transmission make for an extremely enjoyable driving experience on back country roads and/or the highways. All of the following items were replaced NEW during the full restoration: Engine Mounts and Transmission Mounts, Fan Belt, Heater Valve, NGK Spark Plugs, Cobalt Spark Plug Wires, Petronix Electronic Distributor, Alternator, Clutch Master Cylinder, Clutch Slave Cylinder, Rubber Clutch Flex Hose, Brake Master Cylinder, Polished Windshield Frame, Windshield, All Windshield Seals, Engine Compartment Seal, Trunk Seal, Door Seals, Headlight Gaskets, Inner Fender Splash Panel Seals, Side Vent Window Seals, Side Window Scrapers, Chrome Air Vent Grill, Side Body Molding Chrome Strips, Stainless Steel "MG" Door Threshold Plates, Limited Edition Steering Wheel, Dashboard, Heater Switch, Seat Leather, Seat Webbing, All Interior Panels, Seat Belts, AM/FM/MP3/CD Stereo, Retro-Sound Speakers, Antena, custom Black Carpet, Rear "MG" Trunk Badge and front and rear Chrome Bumpers and 73-74.5 style Grille, Air Horns, Hand Brake Cable, Throttle Cable, 3 Piece Clutch Kit, ABS plastic Mud Shield, 3 piece Door Lock Set(both doors and trunk are a matching set), Stainless Steel Oil Pressure Hose, Washer Bottle Container, Windshield Washer Pump, ALL External Engine Seals(rear crank seal, side inspection covers gaskets and gromets, valve cover gasket and gromets, oil pan gasket, water pump gasket, timing cover gasket, timing cover pulley seal, oil filter mount seals and brass washers, heater valve gasket, intake/exhaust manifold gasket), All Stickers, Flush-Fit Radio Antenna, Reverse Light Lenses, Washer Jet Assemblies, Fuse Box, Dot 5 Silicon Brake and Clutch Fluids(will not harm paint if spilled and has a higher boiling point which is ultimately better performance), New Brake Master Cylinder, Tan Vinyl Convertible Top with Zip Out Rear Window, 5 Minilite Knock-Off Wheels(spare wheel in trunk) with brand new tires(including spare), Interior and Trunk Carpet.
