BRIEF DESCRIPTION: These trucks are getting harder to find this original and even harder to find this rot and rust free. Already a modern classic. Id hop in and drive it anywhere the way it sits. Idles fluctuates from normal to high and its running really rich at idle too. Paint all looks to be original black the best I can tell, and not all that bad for its age. Only real mod is a 3" body lift and wheels. No serious off roading, but here in Az are lots of places to have some fun w/o killing the vehicle. No rot or rust under this truck, its a true Az vehicle. Has seen some dirt roads. Has about 176k on it. Sits nice and drives well. Everywhere I drive it people love checking it out. Its been mostly we gather an original Az its whole life DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS IN HANDCHECK OUT OUR FEEDBACK !!!! Its not by chance its 100% positive, we work hard to keep it that way for us and our customers ! DRIVETRAIN: factory 4 cyl runs well and sounds good. New head or rebuilt at 153k as was a new clutch installed. Power feels good for an old truck and larger tires. Ive been tooling around town in this truck off and on the last month, but the most obvious and annoying part is the running rich at idle, smell and smoke. Its black and smells rich. Carb is prob original and old. Tires decent too. Fun to drive. Has AC, which blows cool, but not cold. Heat works, but hardly ever used here. INTERIOR: take a look at the pics. Very original and not bad. and Az makes things dusty here alot. The front seats are nice Back jump seats are nice. Boot around shifter missing. Carpets prob the worst part, has a bit of a cat pee smell to it. Its not horrible, but noticable for sure. All the gauges etc work and lights. Radio works, but older set up. Glass all good too. Factory sunroof. Ill check the windshield, but pretty sure its ok.EXTERIOR: the body pretty straight for its age, but this is a 95% rust FREE survivor. Windows roll up and down, The doors work fine. Rust or rot I should say is almost non existent on the body. Much nicer by comparison to a truck this old from the eastcoast. Paint I believe to be all original as possibly the body decals. Nice color combo too. Has a few small dents, check out all the pics. No bondo and ONLY rust I could find where a few small spots inside the bed area. Even overall the bed is in nice shape too. I believe the front push bar was a factory Datsun part.SUSPENSION: the suspension looks normal from what I can see .. but it is 30 yrs old, but most of it has been up kept. Looks like a 3" body lift was installed with the chrome mod 15" wheels and larger tires. 4x stuff works fine. We didnt hear any weird noises or clunks while driving it around. It Im sure will need some work soon like bushings etc, but as is its driving around ok. Minimal rust under the car, making taking this car apart, almost a breeze !! People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end. Having as much as the original steel on a non restored car these speaks volumes. Survivors are getting harder to find ! Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating. People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers.
