Vehicle Detail
Due to a NON PAYING BIDDER, once again, I am offering my Volvo for sale today as a NO RESERVE AUCTION. It's a 2001 Volvo C70 Convertible in very nice, condition. All original paint in beautiful Silver with Black Convertible top. Very nice leather interior, no unsightly rips, tears or cracks, just the normal wear you would expect on a 16 year old car. There is, however a very small wear spot on the drivers seat leather, lower corner of the backrest on the very outer edge of the bolster. It looks like it's worn from getting in and out of the car but certainly nothing ugly or unsightly. It's only noticeable if you are crouching down and looking for it as it doesn't stand out at all. Fully equipped with all power accessories, all in good working condition. Ice Cold A/C, Brand New Battery. Garaged most of it's life and used sparingly, mostly as a vacation car. Very smooth, quite and a wonderfully driving car. This Volvo has been adult owned and driven it's whole life and it shows. The paint is all original in very nice condition with no scratches, scrapes or door dings. There are however 2 or 3 small rust spots that if were taken care of, the exterior would be perfect. See pics and description below for details. The interior is very nice gray leather with no unsightly rips, tears or cracks. The dash, wood dash trim, door panels and carpets are all in very nice condition. The original Volvo carpeted floor mats are included but should be cleaned. The Convertible top, fabric, stitching and canvas looks very nice. It is very common for the glue on the convertible top rear glass window to come undone but this has been recently repaired and is fully functional. It doesn't look 100% (more like 80) but it's strong, secure and water tight. This is a great looking, great driving car. To me, it's the finest, classiest, timeless color combination available. People still look and admire it. MINOR ISSUES:To better describe the small rust spots, please look at the pictures but they are located on the drivers door, just showing from beneath the rubber molding just below the drivers door glass, just above the pinstripe, in a very small area. There is also another spot located under the rubber molding just beneath the rear quarter glass on both sides. These spots are not holes, just small rust spots that are beginning to peak out from under the molding. Upon careful inspection, there are no signs of any other rust spots of any size. My local body shop who specialized in Mercedes, BMW, Audi and Porsche said that they would make the correct repairs and match the paint to near perfection for $375. Pics are posted for your viewing. My Volvo mechanic said the car needs front struts (shocks) which is normal for a car of this age. He said the cost is around $350. Other than this, the car runs and drives extremely well. There are no other mechanical issues. I had the whole car inspected prior to the sale, just to make sure. No oil leaks, drips or surprises. All the wheels were removed, brakes, suspension, etc inspected and everything besides the front struts are in fine order. Please let me know if you have any specific questions and I will answer them as best as possible. Thanks for looking!
