Up for sale is a 2004 Audi S4 Convertible in good condition. I am the third owner and the car has 87,500 miles on it. I bought it a year and a half ago from a friend and have put about 8,000 miles of my own on it. I have relocated to Cleveland and need a bigger car. I have had a ton of work done to the car in the time I owned it thinking I was in it for the long haul, so the next owner will be the beneficiary. The Good: I have replaced the convertible top with a new Robbins top. The convertible top motor and relays were also replaced at the time. I put 4 new performance tires on it that have about 2,000 miles on them. The rear brakes have been done. I replaced the coolant tank, right bank valve cover gaskets, temperature sensor, battery, hood struts, hood latch, oil filter stand gaskets, belly pan shield and alternator coolant line. In the last 500 miles I changed the oil, coolant, engine filter and cabin filter, cleaned the MAF sensor, cleaned the throttle body and replaced just about all vacuum hoses. I also had the car detailed and polished out within the last 3 months. Interior still looks like it was just done yesterday. The Bad: The check engine light is on because of the secondary air flow system. The car runs great, and if you are familiar with these it only runs for the first 90 seconds it’s on and is otherwise worthless. I can't get the light to stay off. I have swapped out the air pump, so it’s not that. I have run all new vacuum hoses, so it is not that. I ran new power and ground wires from the pump directly into the harness at the source, so it is not electrical. I checked the relay manually, and it was fine. I went so far as to take off both combi valves (which is a monumental task), replaced all the gaskets and cleaned out all the lines in the secondary air system and everything worked fine when tested off the car. Yet the light persists with the same insufficient flow code.There is a small oil leak toward the front of the car. It is maybe the size of a nickel.Occasionally, when stopped at a red light or stop sign, the transmission will not go into gear. It is only brief, and the car engages right back up. The car has some dings and dents. Nothing terrible as you can see the car presents well, but it's not perfect. The right bottom rocker panel by the front right tire is cracked as you can see in the picture. Summary: This Audi is a great car that, while not perfect, presents really well and is in great shape. The interior is still really nice and not warn, and the new top really helps it stand out. The convertibles this age usually start to have that faded look that takes away from the cars looks. Whoever owns it next has a great leg up with all of the maintenance that has been done. That being said, this is a 14 year old car and is being sold as is. Title is clean and ready to sign over. Car is for local pick-up, but if a buyer wants to arrange shipping I am willing to work with them on that. I will answer any questions as best is possible.
