I have the CARFAX report from 2006 (at the time of purchase) that states that my DTS is a clean vehicle with no damages or accidents documented in its history (4 PICs attached to this auction). The information collected by Auto Check must be owner name specific as I'm assuming its cross referencing my second 2003 Black Deville which was rear-ended in 2013, incurred frame damage in this accident and then was liquidated. Please note that this car is over 14 years old, has normal wear that can be expected from a vehicle with this age, and is not being represented as an issue free vehicleGeneral Information · - MSRP when new was $42,000 · - Approximately 148,000 miles on odometer · - Good to very good condition overall · - Well maintained with regular oil changes and maintenance service · C Cosmetic Condition · - Interior: Very nice leather upholstery with no rips. Seams are in excellent condition. All wood trim and clear finish have no scratches or imperfections. · - Paint: Very good shape and needs a good coat of wax · - Sunroof: Fully functional and used a handful of times since I’ve owned · - Wheels: Very nice condition and has two/three small blemish’s approximately ¼” size · - Body straight with no collision damage. There is one small crease on Driver rear fender well lip that is approximately 3 to 4 inches in length. Paint is not broken but scuff mark needs to be buffed/waxed out. Please see PIC · - Front Passenger lower fender behind front wheel is loose. Retaining hardware will have to be tightened or replaced. Fender is not damaged/excellent shape · - A handful of minor/very small scratches as you would expect from a 14-year-old carMMMechanical Condition · - Car runs very strong, idles nicely and handles nicely. · - Engine: excellent operating condition and performance. Engine has oil leak from oil pan gasket. Leaks 1-2 quarts of oil between oil changes. I add oil every 2,000 miles to maintain operating range. Does not burn oil · - Transmission excellent condition and performs nicely. This is a Lifetime warranty transmission installed by AAMCO Transmissions at approximately 70,000 miles. Has been inspected yearly, runs great with smooth shifts, and no leaks. · - Front disc brake pads needed in approximately 8,000 miles. I have new and used rotors that go with car including new premium Brake pads · - Rear disc brakes plenty of life remaining · - Tires have approximately 6,000/8,000 miles of tread remaining. Spare tire never used · - Water pump replacement 15,000 miles ago · - Recent new Bosch battery in December 2017 · - Crankshaft and camshaft sensors have been replaced to ensure reliable transportation. These are wear items that are minimal cost and good insurance to replace at 100,000 miles · - Recent Oil change · - "Low Coolant" Reservoir notification appears every time you start car and is easily dismissed by pressing the dash Information button. This notification is due to a faulty sensor attached to the coolant reservoir tank. This is a common problem with the 2000 through 2005 model year coolant tanks as I’ve owned two 2003 DeVille’s having the same issue. · - Auto Ride Control Suspension needs to be diagnosed for potential sensor replacement as the shocks don’t properly inflate. The air pump and shocks function properly when system is activated. This is an intermittent issue and it’s my opinion that one of the sensors has gone bad (there is one at each wheel). Sensor link arms have been repaired in the past. Sensors have never been replaced · - Secondary air injection pump was replaced approximately 40,000 miles ago · - P0410 engine code intermittently appears. Engine runs perfectly with no issues, no hesitation, etc. · - Rear Passenger door has dirty or corroded electrical connection which creates intermittent operation of remote door lock and window when door remains closed. Locks and window function properly when door is in the open position · - A/C, Heat, Stereo, Steering, Cruise Control, and steering wheel mounted controls for Heat, A/C, Cruise, Stereo and all other auto controls function properly. I have spare parts that go to the new owner including the OEM Shop Manual. This vehicle has been honestly described.
