*****REAR MAIN OIL SEAL IS LEAKING******ENGINE RUNS FINE BUT NOT DRIVABLE DUE TO LEAKI am the original owner and purchased this 4Runner in 2005. I performed the oil changes and general maintenance most of the time but at 54.013 miles had Toyota Dealer do a complete service and diagnostic check on it just to be safe. No issues were found. All belts, including timing were replaced at 98,000.Water pump and belt idler kit were also replaced per Toyota recommendations.The power steering pump was replaced around the same time due to noise.About 3 years ago I started minor upgrades and repairs to give it to my son for graduation.Installed upgraded brakes and rotors up front. I will include the rear with purchase but not installed.Installed 2 inch leveling kit, had paint resprayed with fire mist silver and clear coat. (Close to original so door panels not done) Had it painted only for looks. No issues with body. Added TRD badges and removed original Toyota ones. I have the factory side rails and will include with vehicle. Also have original badges. Installed custom front and rear lights. (SpecD Brand) I also have the factory front and rear mud flaps. Not installed but will include with purchase.I planned to get a different type.All four tires (Good Year Wrangler) have less than 1000 miles.The battery is brand new.Interior is good shape. Tear on dash above steering wheel (See pic) but installed custom dash mat.Husky custom floor mats on driver and passenger side.Will include rear tail light protectors. (See pic with rotors)During the repair/upgrade time (Over 2 years) the vehicle was not driven much and developed a oil leak coming from the main rear seal. Due to the amount of work involved and my son going to college out of state fairly soon I decided to buy him a newer car and sell my baby.I truely love this 4 Runner and would keep it if I could. I drove it everyday for work for over 5 years and never had a problem.However there are some issues and I want to be 100% sure that I fully disclose every little detail possible.I know buying a car off eBay can be scary and I have personally been screwed on a another vehicle myself.So want to be clear on what I think needs done to make this 4 Runner perfect.The rear main oil seal needs to be replaced. I attempted repair but looks like at a minimum the transmission will have to be pulled and possibly the engine as well to replace the seal. This is more than I want to do or have to equipment for.The following is my personal punch list of every item found that I would fix/correct to consider the vehicle 100% perfect.1. Engine rear main seal needs replaced due to leak. Leak is bad enough to prevent driving.2. Although the paint was resprayed I am not totally satisfied with the job. There are a minor runs and minimal over spray on rubber trim. I paid 1400.00 for the paint job but it could definitely be better.I have about 3/4 gal of the paint and about the same amount of clear coat. If you want it for touch up please email me and I will put it inside the vehicle. 3. During recent testing I had an error code for cylinder 3 misfire. The connector going to that fuel injector was loose. I reseated it and the error has not happened again. However, I cannot drive or run the car very long to be 100% it is fixed.4. Rear brakes and rotors are fine but I included a new set of rotors to match the already installed front.5. Small tear on rear back seat and dash board. (See pics)6. Both head rests have built in DVD players. They do work but there are a few scratches on the screens and one has the IR cover missing. I have the original head rests and will include them in case the DVD option isn’t needed.7. The interior is in great shape considering 3 kids and normal use. I had the inside professionally steam cleaned but there are a few carpet stains still.8. The rear hatch has a few minor dings due to trailer and boat hook ups.
