1979 LTD Wagon rust and rot free AZ body Loaded w/ excellent potential for a Vacation Movie Family Truckster recreation !~ NO reserve !! We want to sell vehicles, not sit on them FOR 3 MONTHS. BRIEF DESCRIPTION: I know this car is a driver, starts all the time and runs well Rust free AZ car, had the same owner for the last 25+ yrs. Its great for a cool older Ford wagon or Vacation Clone car to build. Has factory AC (blows, just not super cold) and the factory 5.0 Motor The motor idles and runs nice, can almost barely hear the car running. The trans feels good, but does have a fluid leak. Even just sitting, so not sure exactly why, going to look at it this weekend. You can drive it no prob but need to add fluid ever week or 2. 0 rust of rot on the body / frame etc, being a true Az desert car. DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS IN HANDapparently some people who use ebay arent smart enough to understand the rules. DRIVETRAIN: factory V8 runs well, loaded with AC Cruise, and more. Im not even sure it would need any tune up at this point. Bone stock under the hood. Auto trans feels good, but as mentioned before, has a small leak (looking into that tomorrow). Tires not bad but good for around town. I do have a cool set of old 16x8 Chrome Niche wheels available for it if there is a winner and they are interested in them. Ask for pics ! Brakes and suspension feel good too. NO RUST under this car. INTERIOR: take a look at the pics. Very original and some sun damaged and from the Az heat. Carpet and headliner prob the worst of it all. Needs resto here too. Alot of the important stuff is there and not missing at least. NO RUST behind the front seat in the spare tire area. AZ has been hard on most of the interiors not protected from the sun. Front bench seat showing normal wear. Middle row seats actually hardly ever been used, it was folded down most of its life. Back back rear seats may of been the kind that faced each other but they are gone. Middle seat folds down in decent shape. Its been a daily driver like this for the last 10 yrs.EXTERIOR: the body pretty straight for its age, but this is a 90% rust FREE survivor. Windows roll up and down, The doors work fine. Rust or rot I should say is almost non existent on the body. Much nicer by comparison to a truck this old from the eastcoast. 1 dent on drive side where the door meets the LF fender. I believe its still original factory paint too from 79 !! IT NEEDS A PEA GREEN metallic paint job !!!SUSPENSION: the suspension looks normal from what I can see . but old. It Im sure will need some work soon like bushings etc in time. VERY RUST FREE UNDER THE CAR !! Has some old Crager style 14" chrome wheels on it. Tires again, getting old but okay for around town. Personally Id go with a larger size in its future. Cushy ride like you would expect. 0 rust under the car, making taking this car apart, almost a breeze !! Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate. more info AFTER the pics etc. There are 100 large pics. There you go, probably The BEST represented wagons on Ebay. Shows you all the good as well as any bad. We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars. People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end. Having as much as the original steel on a non restored car these speaks volumes. Survivors are getting harder to find ! Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating. People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers.
