This 2000 540iT Sport Wagon is only 1 of 447 E39 Wagons that was sold in the U.S. in 2000. My wife and I have driven 230,000 of the 258k miles on this car. It is a true Sport Package, handles great (updated suspension) and runs strong. Always garage kept and maintained (how else would it last 258k miles on the original engine and transmission?). This car needs three things: 1. Blower motor (inside, for heat and AC, note the AC compressor works great). 2. Drivers window does not go down—needs regulator and window motor. 3. Service engine light is on because it needs a Vanos adjuster solenoid. The brakes and rotors are excellent, as is the suspension with new struts, control arms, rear shocks, new plugs, etc. etc. and the entire cooling system has been replaced recently as well. We are selling our beloved wagon because we now have too many vehicles, need the space in the garage and I don’t have the time anymore to do my own misc. repairs like the above items. The cosmetic condition of the car does show expected age, road rash, nicks, etc., and wear given the miles, as one would expect. Never in an accident. The only rust is the lip of the trim around the rear hatch window. It would make a great project car to fix and drive, or parts car for an E39 Wagon enthusiast. I have complete service and repair records since we acquired it in 2002. The service was performed by Towson BMW in the earlier years, the Benchmark Motors and by myself for the basic things. It comes with: 4 keys (two remote, 1 valet, 1 wallet) Manual OEM Wheels with good condition summer performance tires. Set of Winter Wheels and Winter Sport Performance Tires, good conditionClear and clean title. This is being re-listed because the first buyer was a bad egg, not legitimate and did not pay.
