Vehicle Detail

2003 BMW M5 Carbon BlackWell maintained, clean carfax.117xxx milesFully optioned (M-audio, parking sensors, power rear sunshade package, ski bag, folding rear seats, sport seats, titanium trim)Last year of production (BMW had all their issues from previous years resolved (including VANOS), plus many little details/upgrades that set it apart from previous years)Very desirable combination: Last year of production, fully optioned out, black exterior, black interior, sport interiorAs a bonus, E39 M5s are appreciating in value and as they age, clean/well maintained examples will start to carry more of a premium. The car is a dream to drive, it doesn't have any weird noises or issues and it has never failed to pass emissions and it doesn't suffer from most of the E39 common issues (dead pixels, door actuators, VANOS, broken cup holders, window regulators...etc). It leaves a smile on my face every time. The car is clean and unmolested, the only modifications done to it only enhance the driving experience and can be easily reversible (shifter from a newer BMW for shorter throws, ZHP shift boot with illuminated shift knob, front grill with holes for the factory brake ducts, muffler delete - resonators were kept intact, so no droning or obnoxiously loud). I will provide all original parts & supplies, original keys (4 total, 2 regular, 1 valet, 1 plastic pocket key), manuals, records, literature, original parts & supplies, and carfax.A Pre-Purchase-Inspection (PPI) will be provided. It was performed before I bought the car at 105K miles. It was done at a shop that specializes in German vehicles, and their suggested maintenance showed: oil change, spark plugs, air filters, cabin filters, rear brakes, front brake sensor, front lower control arm bushings, power steering leak, and rear main leak. Everything has been addressed since except for the rear main leak. I chose to wait until the next clutch job to do the rear main seal since the leak is not enough to be noticed between oil changes. I have a new set of control arms with bushings that will be provided with sale.Although the car is in excellent condition, it is still a used 10+ year old car. Keep in mind the car has not been detailed nor had any paint correction in order to show its "true condition". The car could potentially look even better but I don't want to give the impression I'm trying to hide anything. Here are some things I had left on my to-do list: Passenger side power folding mirror folds up but not down (can be done manually), rear sunshade clips are broken, sunshade frame goes up and down but not the actual shade itself, passenger heated seats work intermittently, shifter trim has a few bubbles, the vynil needs to be replaced.History:Carfax shows 7 owners, however, according to the previous owner it should be less due to carfax reporting "new owner" every time the title is updated due to a loan pay-off or change of address. It is worth noting that around 80K miles, the vehicle was purchased by an executive at a dealership in NM and between 80-100K miles it was serviced extensively (including clutch). After that, the vehicle was sold to the previous owner, who had it for a year (100-105K miles) and performed basic maintenance (new tires, oil change, etc). I bought the vehicle at 105K and I've meticulously maintained it (see list below).During my ownership:Oil Changes every 5,000 miles (Liqui Moly 10w-60)Transmission Fluid service (Tune-up)Differential Fluid service (Tune-up)Spark Plugs (Tune-up)Fuel Filter (Tune-up)Coolant Flush (Tune-up)Cabin filters (Tune-up)Air Filters (Tune-up)Rear Brake Pads, Rotors & Sensor (preventive)New front tires (preventive, I wanted all 4 tires to match)New Oil pan + Gasket (Due to stripped drain plug, very common with aluminum oil pans on E39)Oil separator kit (preventive)Fuel tank breather valve (preventive)Shifter rebuild kit (preventive)Power Steering Lines + reservoir (Chose to replace the entire system since one line was leaking)Door lock actuators (2 were getting "slow/weak")Final Stage Unit (A/C stopped blowing)Coolant Temp Sensor (Due to coolant leak)Crankshaft Seal (Due to seeping oil)Timing Chain Tensioner (preventive)Battery (preventive)Parking sensor (PDC wasn't working)Cup holder (Replaced broken)New exhaust tipsFront Control arms with new bushings (not yet installed) Car is being advertised locally, and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time without notice. Reserve is set very low as I'm motivated to clear up some garage space for my new car. Please ask if you have any questions BEFORE bidding. A non-refundable $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of auction ending, otherwise I reserve the right to cancel the transaction. I'm willing to assist with shipping if necessary. Thanks for looking
