For Sale: 2 Owner 1999 Jeep Cherokee 4DR Sport with 81k miles in Red I purchased it in August 2016 as my ‘winter beater’ but since have only driven it 3k miles. This Jeep has been a rock-solid and reliable car suitable for any occasion. Personally I think it is a good candidate for restoration given its low miles and great interior condition but admittedly there are a few minor exterior and trim issues which could be addressed. However, mechanically it is 100%! This Jeep has never been lifted or used to tow and has not been involved in any major accidents. I have only taken this car to trusted ASE certified mechanics and installed either OEM or better quality parts on the many, many things I have replaced or added (see below service history). This was a project car for me carefully chosen because of its low miles, specific model, and condition. The issues: The heater and AC work plus the fan speed can be adjusted however the direction cannot. My mechanic told me he believes it’s a bad seal which is a relatively cheap fix. Only 1 speaker (of 6) currently works. It could be as simple as bad speakers and/or wiring which is a noted issue on many older Cherokees. There is also some moderate rust which needs to be addressed and some minor dents/dings like you would expect on a 17 year old vehicle. This car could be driven with just oil changes for the next 15-20k miles easily with no major repairs needed. Tires have more than 65% tread. Battery shows great charge. Comes with 3 keys and a professionally installed remote starter. There is no wobble and the alignment is straight as can be. I've gotten a consistent 15-20MPG which proves mechanically this thing is still smooth and efficient. I intended to fix the small trim issues this summer and keep the XJ forever but plans have changed and I could use the cash. Please review all the pictures and information in this listing.
