Powered by GM's 6.2L J-series Detroit Diesel V8 engine non-emissions diesel, equipped with the TH-400 automatic, NP-208 chain drive transfer case. Why diesel? Much better fuel mileage! up to 20MPG from a full sized truck; this Blazer eats hybrids and spits them out. For this year of diesel, you can even run Black Diesel -- Black Diesel is a fuel made from used motor oil, automatic transmission fluid, hydraulic oil even gear oil.
