1966 Austin Healey 3000 MK III with 52,923 miles. This Healey has spent considerable time in storage between 1980 and 2016. In 1989, it was purchased by a AH racing enthusiast and collector residing in Pebble Beach CA,with the intent of conducting a full restoration on the car. The restoration never occurred, and the car remained primarily in storage until 2016 when the owner liquidated his collection due to health issues. Less than 900 miles have been put on the car since 1989. This is a well preserved, mostly original ( with the exception of the steering wheel), and solid car. Older repaint of the original British Racing Green shows well The interior, top, dash, chrome and glass are all in good condition with the exception of some cracks in the wood veneer on the driver's side dash and the rear carpets, which could stand replacing. Recent service performed in the last year since removal from storage included; engine tuneup parts, new brake master cylinder,front calipers,rear cylinders, rubber brake lines, clutch master and slave cylinder, fuel lines, battery, thermostat,wiper blades,etc. Equipped with working factory overdrive and an original, fully operational, BMC AM radio. This Healey fires up from cold on the first twist of the key and the motor has strong oil pressure and runs very strong. Despite replacing the brake components ( with the exception of the booster), the braking ability of this car is not up to modern standards and would likely benefit from additional bleeding of the hydraulic system
