Vehicle Detail
** NO RESERVE AUCTION ** Up for sale is a 2004 CLK 500. I bought this car sight unseen from an auction on 3/30/2017. I know very little about the car's history. I intended to make this a project car to fix up but have run out of garage space and am already on to another project. Here's what I can state: The car starts right up. No smoke. No leaks. Auto transmission shifts smoothly. Power windows, locks and seats work. Radio works. A/C works. I replaced the hood struts as the old ones were shot and would not hold the hood up. I replaced the wiper blades. I replaced the hood emblem as it was missing. I replaced the shift console trim as the gear shift assembly / module would fall out of console. I have purchased new front and rear rotors and pads (see photos) and will include them in the deal. Comes with one key. Remote buttons do not work. No owner's manual. I spent a whole weekend compounding, polishing and waxing the paint. It looks 100 times better but I would give it a 5 to 6 out of a 10 as there are numerous deep scratches, stone chips on front hood (see pics) and loose trim pieces (most notably the front grill assembly). The car has many cosmetic issues both internally and externally. Some examples are missing trim piece on driver's side seat (see photo), missing SRS emblem on both rear seat side panels, broken armrest console, etc.. I was told by the previous seller that the sunroof does not fully open and return so I have not tried to open it. It is in the closed position. I have a clear SC title in hand and will provide a Bill of Sale to the winning bidder. I live in metro Atlanta and would be happy to show the car to any prospective bidder upon appointment. PLEASE READ: 1) This is a 13 year old car that I have no history on2) This is a project car in my opinion but it does run and could be a good daily driver3) This is a NO RESERVE auction. I will not accept any offers and I DO NOT WANT TO TRADE the car for anything.4) BUYER is responsible for pick-up or shipping. 5) Car is being sold "AS-IS" with no warranty expressed or implied6) DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING AND ABLE TO PAY FOR THE CAR7) Please email me prior to bidding if you have ZERO or NEGATIVE FEEDBACK within last 12 months. Feel free to email me with questions although please keep in mind that I have no past history on this car. Good luck with bidding !
