Here we go E30 lovers!Alpine white!full Lotus white glove soft leather interior.real euro Hella smiley upgraded headlights with city lights.M tech non airbag steering wheelfactory M-technic Manual convertible last year of E30 production5 speed manual M shift knobFull freshening upSuper low miles for the year you just don't find them like this anymoreMostly garaged Southern California car most of it's life, garaged sunny weather car in rural Virginia and Ohio after thatLSD that's limited slip dif as far as I know was one of few options available on this.Ok so I hand picked this car from sunny San Diego California around 2011-2012 and drove it back to Virginia, zero problems cross country. I sold it to my cousin in Ohio about 2-3 years ago along with a 2003 Eurovan MV poptop. I had got married and had a red head baby that my wife said can't ride in the sun so the convertible had to go. This was always my special use perfect weather day weekend car anyway. Since I know more about history and BMW's I am writing this ad for the seller my cousin. I always owned multiple BMW's in a 4 car garage and long time BMW CCA member. I currently have an E39 M5,E90 335i and X5 as far as BMW's, but nothing is like an E30 that I always wanted to own after E36 M3 and E46's nothing is like the analogue simple direct feeling go-cart feel of an E30, it's a gem and this car feels as close as it did when it was new when driving it. I am a careful non abusive driver, my wagon had 200,000 miles on it on original clutch. I also know how to maintain BMW's and what they need for full baseline refresh which I did on this car. I bought this car with around 75,000 miles sold it at 82ish so wasn't used much recently by busy owner with too many other cars. It is now 25 year old antique plate eligible. Rare E30 to have only about 3300 miles a year. Enough to keep things going but minimal wear and tear for a car this age. I bought the car from a SOCAL BMW enthusiast but was starting his pool company so needed to sell for a truck. He bought it from original female doctor owned who bought it new and had it as her special use car as well. I totally see a wealthy professional female car enthusiast who drives manual putting the top down and buying this new in the 1990's to cruise in the hills and coastal roads of California and enjoying this for many years but not as a daily driver. When I bought it I had no problems driving it back from the west coast. But I couldn't help myself from going a bit overboard with a full refresh just cause I wanted to get to know the car. But no crazy mods, just getting it back to knowing everything was done. So full fluids. Full synthetic oil always, redline fluids in differential and manual trans. Coolant flush, brake fluid. Air filter.Fuel filter. Full ignition refresh, coil pack, bavauto upgraded red wires, spark plugs. New battery at some point left on tender since it wasn't used much. Full suspension refresh with stock sport suspention gem parts. It didn't really need this at this milage but I did it anyway as it came as a full kit to replace all wear items. So struts and shocks, strut bearings, bump stops control arms etc... Rides a touch high so at this point I'd lower very slightly with sportier non oem springs if I did it over again. Oh I swapped out some window switches when they started to roll windows up slow.OEM M shift knobBeautiful 16 inch old school mesh BBS style ESM wheels. Offset, bolt pattern and hub size fit's the car perfect, made for BMW's. Plus you get to fit more modern type sized rubber then 14 or 15 inch allows. Has pretty fresh Continental sport contact DW, dry wet summer tires with lot's of tread still 205/50 16's all around. Great upgraded euro Hella headlights with orsam bulbs these are bright! Just this was hard to get and around $400.I took the airbag wheel off and put on M-tech 2 wheel that was recovered with perforated style and M stitching. About $400 from Germany if you can find it. Horn works. To get rid of the SRS light I installed a check control panel from a non airbag car that I got from the UK so it says funny British terms like "dipped beams" etc...As is common the OBC computer works but has dead and damaged readout pixels. I bought an analogue oem clock from a breaker in Slovenia also has the harness adapter to plug right in just needs to be installed or you can get a new OBC computer. The power top worked but it would occasionally get finicky and I knew these could get problematic. For ultimate reliability I made it into a manual top which works great. I added the stock lid release handle by the back seat you just reach in, pop the hatch, pull the top up or down and latch it down by top of windshield to close or click cover hatch down on both sides for opening. All the power top parts are still in the car and linkages just disconnected. You can take it out to lighten the car and sell these valuable motor parts or just leave it or even reconnect it if you want. I got a full new top and seals installed. Dobby cotton. Nice clear newish back window. But what was wrong with old top happened to new top to which is small pinholes where the top folds. Common problem. I just decided to put flexible silicone clear sealant. Car is watertight in rain with roof closed but of course don't go through a power wash car wash with a cloth top convertible. I also treated the fabric with UV and waterproofer. No funny smell's non smoking car.All parts that came off the car are in a box, so the fully useable full suspension, ignition parts still usable, airbag steering wheel. Has the great wind deflector that goes over back seats and folds up and down $400 part. Has sun protector for when you park in the sun with top down and covers whole cabin area.Has a Conforti eprom chip in ECU for a bit of conservative extra tuning performance. These are period and the best and safest for this engine. Has stock chip included. Full sized spare tire.No curb rash on the wheels. No dash cracks which shows how this was stored properly it's whole life out of the sun when not in use.No winters at all. No corrosion or salt damage on underside. This was last year of e30 production. E36 production had started the year before but the convertible carried on until the new body style one was ready. This has every update implemented by the end of E30 production and full M-technic factory body kit without the ugly bumpers most every other E30 comes with. The best BMW's are always the last year of a body styles production as all of the bugs or things they had problems with in earlier cars had been fixed by then. Pulls strong, drives straight, brakes great, rides smooth, cools well, everything works, super clean no accident history, loved it's whole life, rare M-tech coolest e30 325 body style. No traction or save your butt stability computers, you really have to be careful in the rain or too much power in turns, will oversteer!I always used this in rural Virginia, current owner in rural Ohio and this makes a world of difference as opposed to a car that is used as a commuter, in stop and go traffic and as a daily driver. Meaning this car was warmed up properly by driving at least 10 miles to go anywhere on sonic pastoral country 2 lane twisty roads cruising at 45-65 MPH. But even on my cross country interstate trip it did great at 75-80mph for a few days straight without missing a beat. I suspect the previous owners also had a similar light duty use with this car taking it out when it was time for a special occasion scenic trip or going out to a weekend car show I know the previous California owner enjoyed and not the type of use that wears out cars much faster being in a city, short trips etc... This car will go to 300,000 miles with minimal needs.Always frequent oil changes. Comes with some records from me and the previous Cali owner. I have a huge bill of the extensive work I did. May have lot's of other items that I am now forgetting so take a look at everything that was done during it's major refresh service.Few items to be aware of that need to be fixed, no radio, it had an aftermarket radio with removable faceplate but the faceplate was broken and wouldn't stay on anymore. Radio was removed but never got around to replacing. I love the sound of the inline six with the top down on a perfect day going through the gears anyway. Left hanger and latch assembly on glove box broke, needs to be fixed. Rear view mirror fell off needs the special adhesive to reattach. Small dimple on trunk top. Small nicks and chips especially lower from spoiler could use respray, 1 small dent on hood, a bit of touch up paint but overall very minimal body damage, no real door dings no bodywork needed if you wanna repaint or wrap. Interior is in very good shape certain trim can be fixed, a bit of wear in sport seat bolsters could use a letherique redye. Oh these are special bucket seats with high bolsters, if you are much over 225lbs it may not be the most comfortable but you can get regular non sport seats that the M-tech had stock.Bid with confidence, high 1000+ fully 100% positive feedback rating. Have sold many vehicles and high ticket items to satisfied buyers, I don't plan on having that change with this sale. If you're into this modern classic BMW you will be happy. There are less and less of them in this condition. Great swap candidate if you wanted although the engine in this one is plenty of fun to move this small car and very healthy. For everyday driving this bigger engine is better then e30 M3. Values pristine ones like this one will go up. More and more demand and less and less nice ones available. Fix it up the very few needs and make this one perfect! No time, too many cars, owner just doesn't use it enough time to let it go to someone who is passionate for this deserving car.No reserve, highest bid wins! Bid only if ready to buy at the price you bid.Inspections welcome near Mt. Vernon,Ohio but before auction ends.Paypal deposit at auction end.Come pick up or will help handing off to a shipper that buyer arranges and at their expense after all funds have cleared. On Sep-28-17 at 06:54:34 PDT, seller added the following information: 325i 325icHas super strong seat heaters. Oh and with windows and wind deflector up cabin is very draft free. The blower fan for the AC/heat is also stronger then any other one I've seen in other cars on high. Not sure if cabriolets got stronger climate control fans. So you can actually put top down, put on seat heaters, put heat on and be too hot on a 38-60 degree day. It's actually super fun riding around in cooler weather with the top down. Also on warmer days the cabin is very quiet for conversation and music and no annoying wind buffeting and still plenty of airflow, you can actually use the AC a bit to. But for full wind of course just put down windows and rear wind deflector. As seen on the options sheet for this car's Vin on the last picture 25% locking differential is confirmed. Not that much locking that you would notice anything unusual but enough to make a useful difference on full power wet acceleration in a curve and other low traction too much power conditions especially since these cars are pre traction control so this comes in handy to not just spin one tire. If it engages you'll probably just back off the gas a little and give the tires a chance to catch up. Still this engine isn't crazy powerful when compared to current performance cars but the beauty is how well balanced the whole package is with this chassis and famous BMW 50/50 weight distribution. Plus it's an analogue drivers experience with such direct steering feel we miss these days in times of digital nannies, run flat tires, overweight cars full of features and bluetooth and stuff, and electric steering! This really takes you back to a simpler time we now have nostalgia for as a driving enthusiast looking for something that will catch everyones eye to see a car like this in such good shape.Oh it has cruise control as well but whats the fun of that? Still comes in handy on a long highway trip.
