Vehicle Detail
Hello again Ebay viewers, J. here, presenting you with, another vehicle, alas, up for Sale; 1997 Lincoln Town Car, Executive Series. Also have more pics upon request, can email to interested viewers. Surprisingly, I am the fifth owner, I have The CarFax, received when purchased from Subaru of Wichita, in 2016... And I have all service records since purchased...I have owned this Car for a little over, year, 104,704 miles when purchased, currently has 108,500 miles on it. I drove the car from Wichita to Oklahoma City, with no problems, it had/has a very smooth glide/ride, for it's age. Very tight, very sturdy, and balanced ride. Drive train, (4.6 L V8 Engine) no problems detected, as well as Transmission, drives/shifts, no problems, Working AC and Heat, the car lot installed a new battery, so just over a year old on the battery, all tires have high life, very good tread left, rear tires practically new, the rear factory suspension airbags, (prone to failing) have been replace with shocks, body/paint is exceptional, shows very well, for it's age, with minor blemishes, and small little dings, (trunk, hood) which you have to have pointed out to see. The rear bumper paint fading, front bumper scuffs, little fading, but, from pics - to in person, paint overall shows very well. No rust... White/Grey leather, Interior, overall shows very well, the driver seat does show the most wear, along with middle front seat armrests with only one split on lower seaming of driver seat, all door coverings, including armrests are perfect, no wear or cracking. All interior components are intact, dash is perfect, no cracks or dry/fading, digital dash all in working order, still illuminating bright. Suspension indicator flashes, only because the factory rear suspension airbags were replaced with shocks, washer fluid indicator flashes, due to sensory, but, container is full, the factory bell/ding, ding ding, when door is open/key left in ignition still sounds off... And the dash digital clock still works... At time of production the transition from cassette deck, to CD's was prominent, so many 90's vehicles came equipped with cassette deck, and CD changer, and this one had both as well, the tape deck works great, the CD changer, installed in trunk, is temperamental... But, it does still recognize certain CD number insertions... and plays well. Car comes with keyless entry, two new remotes, three sets of keys.. Automatic trunk open, and auto trunk shut still engages and works. Things done: (Summer 2016-when purchased) • 2 new Keyless remotes.• New Battery, (Just over a year old)• Servicing-oil change, Radiator fluid drained-refilled...• IAC Valve replaced, (Idle regulator)• Fuel Filter replaced • Lower Ball Joint (Driver side) Things needing attention: • Upper Ball Joint (Driver side) Although no problems, it shows signs of wear• IAC Valve (Idle regulator) Idles high, at times, gets stuck, upon initial startup, (in park) not when driven or at various stops. May need a Ford Motorcraft Brand, (that particular aftermarket part, has been known to fail) I purchased the aftermarket.. May also need complete injector cleaning.• Slight oil leak, and possible minor coolant hose leak, but not drastic, and does not leave puddles, no sign of leakage left behind at various stops. • Although no problems, a transmission flush simply because it has over 100,000 miles..• Due for another complete servicing, oil change, and other fluids.. • Air filter.• Rear power windows, I believe are off track, the motor engages but the window doesn't come down.• Small crack in front windshield (rock ding from highway) not spread. I have listed/disclosed everything I'm aware of, needing attention with this vehicle, anything left out, is unintentional, and unbeknownst to me. Overall, this car has been a daily driver, and very well maintained, with just 108,500 miles, well under the miles for this 20 year old vehicle, but, Lincoln Town Cars were made for Livery Services (limousine/Car Services) built strong, and made to last... I didn't want to part with this vehicle, but, I am no longer in the position to collect cars... So, my loss, someone else's gain. Please contact me for any questions. Thanks for stopping by, I look forward to corresponding with interested viewers. Thanks you again, J.
