Note: Autocheck is incorrectly reporting 2 owners because the Owner first leased the vehicle before later buying the car when the lease expired. Carfax reports it as a 1 Owner vehicle which we believe to be correct. (See picture of Carfax) Selling this Toyota Supra Twin-Turbo Targa Roof for a friend whose husband and owner recently passed away. This was his "baby" from the day he bought it new in 1996. My research tells me that the Supra sold for $50,400.00 in 1996 according to my research. If you are looking at this auction, you already know that the Supra Twin-turbo Mark IV is identified by Car and Driver and Hagerty for 2017 as on top the list of top 10 cars to purchase as a future investor collectable car. This particular Supra is a rare car! Only 88 Toyota Supra Twin-Turbos were produced in 1996. Only 11 of those were "Jewel Green" in color. Out of 7,866 Supra Turbos produced between 1993 and 1998, only 168 were Jewel Green in color. The interior is leather in a light beige color. This is a rare collector car! The condition of this collector car is incredible. The owner was extremely particular about his cars and kept it in top condition. It has always been garage kept and driven with care. The Owner was a non-smoker. The vehicle looks and drives like it is new. Excellent! No rattles and tight suspension. The light beige leather interior is spotless and in perfect condition. The engine is so quiet and runs great. The transmission shifts perfectly. We looked the car over and found no leaks or problems. On the windshield, lower passenger side, we found a small stone chip (like a "Y"). Rather than remove a Toyota windshield, we called in a glass company to do their magic by using epoxy to fill it and stop any further cracking. A newer process used by many glass companies today and it works extremely well. The picture makes it look worse than it is in my opinion. It is hardly noticeable outside, but it is pointed out under indoor lighting. See picture. The Jewel Green paint and finish is in exceptional condition - at least a 9 out of 10 for a 21 year old car. The front and rear bumper covers were repainted (perfectly matched color) at sometime in the cars life. I am sure it had the typical stone chips they all get. There are a few stone chips again, but we decided to not touch up any paint work on the car because we wanted the buyer to see exactly what they are buying. On the passenger side, on the lower side of the rocker panel, there are signs of 6" small dent being dollied out, but not repainted. One of the pictures shows this area. When the car is on the ground, it is barely noticeable. Yes, he did drive it over the years, given the 91,200 miles on the odometer, but the recorded mileage belies the excellent condition of this Supra. His wife said it is mostly highway miles as he drove it cross county a couple of times. Seeing is believing and I encourage you to check the car out for yourself. What you see is exactly what you are buying. No secrets. We did our best to thoroughly check the car over to honestly represent it for sale. In December of 2016, based on a receipt we found, Toyota replaced the fuel pump and filters for $760.00. We have no other service records. What we know, you now know. All the VIN stickers are on every part of this Supra. I strongly encourage anyone interested in purchasing this vehicle to personally, or through an independent agent, inspect this Supra before bidding and buying to make sure it meets your needs and that it is as described. Payment: The only acceptable form of payment will be CASH or WIRE TRANSFER. In our experience CASH is so much easier, so cash would be desirable. If payment is by WIRE TRANSFER, payment will remain in our bank account for (5) business days in advance of picking up the Supra and receiving the title. No exceptions. So there is no question after the sale, you will receive a clear title signed by the owner's wife, a notarized copy of the Death Certificate, and Bill of Sale. The Supra West Virginia title is in both names and states "or", so in many states only one owner is required to sign the title for a sale. In other states, the survivors signature and Death Certificate is needed. So either way, I encourage you to check with your DMV before buying to make sure either process is acceptable.
