Here is a 2005 STI I purchased a little over a year ago with a blown motor. I have sorted out the car for a fun back roads driver with the intention of having it repainted but I ended up buying another car before getting to the body work. There is a full rundown of what has been done below. The car spent most its life out west and in Texas so it doesn't have the rust issues Ohio cars would have. There are also no major accidents on file and it has a clean title. I don't have a carfax but VIN is provided in pictures. You can drive as is but I think this would make a great track car for somebody especially for the price, you would be hard pressed to find a running STI in good health at this price. That being said it is a 12 year old turbo charged car so if you are not familar with the platform I suggest doing your research before you waste either of our time. I have drove the car once down to North Carolina for Tail of the Dragon and had no issues, but car will be sold as-is. Other than that I have only put a few miles on the car driving it periodically since I have 4 other vehicles. I would rate Interior 6/10, it could use cleaned up or replaced. Body is 7/10 just because I don't like the previous owners paint job and there is some orange peal, however panels are straight. There is a small ding in one of the doors and the hood has some pecker dents. I still have a black hood which could go with it. Car does not smoke, turbo spools as it should, feels like a stock STI should. If you are local I will only bother showing this car to people who have proof of funds, that entails either a screenshot of your bank account balance or a loan authorization letter. If you would like a private party inspection at your expense I don't have an issue driving the car to a respectable shop within Cincinnati limits. Rear Diff Temp light has occasionally flickered in past (ground or bad sensor), but hasn't recently. Strut dampers could use replaced, no idea on age Brake rotors have some light oxidation from rarely being driven.
