Vin tag indicates Special paint code 1 which I believe means any Chevrolet color and a parchment interior. The body was painted red by previous owner. The body has some minor rust in the door panels, and on the body to frame mount channels behind the rear tires (replaceable), and a small spot on the wheel well seam in the trunk. Some previous rust repair appears to have been done at the bottom of the front fenders. All other areas of the body appear to be rust free and I have had 7 years to closely inspect it. I recently added the Foose wheels and tires that I acquired from another car purchase. All body panels appear to be original. The body and paint are driver quality meaning there are small flaws throughout that won’t show in the pictures. The glass is fair. I also have the PHS document package for this car as supplied by the Pontiac Historical Society. Over the last 7 years I have done the following work to it. Rebuilt 1976 400 cubic inch motor with rebalanced rotating assembly. Comp 276 cam, pocket ported 6X-4 heads with new valve guides, valves, and springs. Milled .060 for around 9.5:1 compression, Mallory ignition, ceramic coated headers. I will include a milder cam based on the Pontiac 744 with the car if interested. Installed an electric vacuum pump to assist the power brake booster, necessary with this cam. Resealed Muncie 4 speed transmission. New clutch. New Eaton posi unit in original 10 bolt housing. New body to frame bushings. Front disk brake conversion with new brake lines throughout. New tubular control arms on front and rear. Old arms go with car. Rebuilt steering column and short ratio steering box. All new steering linkage. New stainless 2 ½ inch exhaust. Added hood tach, the dash tach is presently disconnected. All other gauges work. Rebuilt and recovered seats in original parchment color. The carpet and headliner do need to be redone. I have described this vehicle to the best of my ability and am selling it as is.
