The 2000 entered production for the 1958 model year offered as either a “Berlina” sedan or the Touring-bodied Spider as offered here. A Coupe version became available in 1960. The Spider, produced from 1958 to 1961, was Alfa Romeo’s flagship open touring car, offering a more luxurious and refined package than the smaller 1,300-cc Giulietta Spider. The 2000 was a true open GT car, capable of a comfortable 100+mph long-distance cruising speed.
