Vehicle Detail
1969 Chevelle Convertible Please ask your wife or girlfriend first before you bid and have your finances in order. This relisting costs me more money. This car really runs nice. The under body is in nice shape for it’s age. It has had a couple of small patches in floor & trunk and one of the cross members is a little thin. The frame is in good shape. Now, to be perfectly clear, the car does have some bondo. Very little in the lower quarters and on the bottom of the fenders. This Chevelle has had a lot on money already spent on it such as New wheels and tires,$1,600.00, New power Conv top (glass window)This convertible top is a $3,000.00 replacement with glass window installed, New exhaust & Brakes, New rebuilt 3 spd TH350 trans with shift kit,$500.00 and new interior $850.00. All new SS badging & correct SS grill. New SS hood $800.00. Has the carbon fibre wrap on it now but is easily removed if you choose. Front end was recently done as well. This Chevelle Malibu was originally a 307 2 spd power glide auto trans. The interior of this car is presentable, but I have a completely new interior as per pics below. Bumpers are nice and are very respectable. All glass is great as well as chrome trim. Standard drums all around. This car will need very little work but overall, I would grade it a solid 5 ½ - 6 out of 10. You could do a full blown restoration on this Chevelle or just put a suit & tie on it and have a really nice ride for a lot less than what I’m seeing them go for on here. I have tried to describe the Chevelle the best I can and from what I see. Please ask any questions and I will do my very best to accommodate everyone. I don’t need to sell but it should go to a Chevy guy that can give it the attention it truly deserves. NO RESERVE Car is sold as is with no warranty implied. This is an older car so inspections are more than welcome. In fact, I encourage them. The car is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the this auction. Serious buyers please. $1,000.00 non-refundable deposit at end of auction via Pal Pal. No checks, money orders, Paypal, or certified checks. Cash or Direct Wire Transfer to my bank account only. The Chevelle will NOT leave my possession until all funds have cleared. Sorry, but way too many scammers out there. Buyer is respondable for pick up and or any shipping within 7 days at the end of auction. I will work with buyer on shipping as best as I can. Thank You & Good luck. On Jul-18-17 at 11:36:29 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been getting a lot of questions about the body and the amount of bondo in the car. There is very little bondo in the car. Just to explain, the rear wheel outer quarter panels have none above the wheels. The only bondo in quarters is just below the trim front & rear. Outer rear wheel well has not been touched and there is a little rot when you run fingers along quarters.Very easy fix. Both doors have very very little. The 2 fenders have very little at the most common place at the bottom just behind front wheels. Drivers fender looks to have had a dent at one time above the wheel and was fixed with a little bondo. Trunk lid is perfect and hood is new. Overall, there is very little bondo in this car, but I want to be honest and give any potential buyer a full disclosure. It is not a Barrett Jackson piece, but a real nice above average driver now that has huge potential to be an awesome piece without paying 70 or 80K for a real 69 Chevelle SS convertible. I hope this helps to alleviates some of your concerns. Thank You
