1989 Honda GB500 Custom - this is a one of kind Custom Cafe Racer - This bike is a pleasure to ride, and is not seen at any bike night. You will be quite an individual on this machine. I bought this bike with a previous salvage title, It had fallen off a trailer, so i was told. It had dented up the tank and scratched a few things, that`s what gave me the idea to make it a little different than the rest. I painted it 1967 Triumph British racing green, and painted the stripes in gold. Eliminated a few things I didn't care for, like the under fender, rear taillight, turn signals, stock gauges and silly factory clip ons. Its running an Auto meter tach only. Norton Commando headlight and a cool little fly screen. I removed the speedo with 10,000 miles on the bike. I would imagine it doesn't have more than 15,000 miles on it now. I MAY have the stock speedo in the take off parts box, which you will receive with purchase. I also installed billet vortex clip ons, Red Wing aluminum reservoir shocks and progressive springs in the front. Engine is all stock with the exception of Supertrapp pipe. Runs smooth and has that punchy Honda 500 torque. Gold O ring chain, sprockets and Conti tires installed last year. Bike runs and rides out wonderfully. It may have a starter button or solenoid issue. It doesn't always start with the button, but it always fires in one or two kicks. Why would I sell such an awesome bike you ask?? Welp.... I built this bike for my EX- wife. It was her rider. (29" seat height..) I love riding it, I loved building it, But... It has to go. Its been on display in my shop for the last few years, It gets tons of attention. Ive set the reserve VERY VERY reasonable. Im aware that the previous salvage note on the title reduces the value of this bike. You do not need to remind me of that in emails. This is a solid, strait riding collectible bike.
