The City of Fernandina Beach is selling a 2006 Mercedes Benz CLS55. The car was acquired by the City in a seizure back in 2013. We do not know the history of the vehicle. We know that it had a California title when the vehicle was awarded to us. A inspection of the vehicle reveals the following:Rear tires are worn and need replaced, front tires are newClunk is felt/heard on the 1-2 shift, transmission mounts are common problems on these vehiclesRight rear CV axle boot is torn and leaking, will need new axle shaft soonPaint is blistering on the front bumper & a few of the rims have curb rashThe mileage is around 90k but the title shows 102k. Seems to be an error made when the title was printed out. None of the buttons on the key fob works. Fob will not open the trunk or lock/unlock the doors. Battery in the fob has been replaced The City of Fernandina encourages all interested buyers to inspect this vehicle is person. There will be no test drives outside of our secure complex.
