First off, I'd like to introduce myself so you have an idea of how this Impreza was cared for since the swap.Hi, I'm Barry Scooby Dufek and I'm a scoobaholic. I bleed Subaru, seriously, no joke, they are my life. Subaru and I even have the same birthday/anniversary.I own a 15+ year old, DiY, Subaru Forum called www.ScoobyMods.com, I'm a Moderator on NASiOC,an Admin many different facebook groups/pages and was the Manager of a High Performance Subaru Shop called Forced Air Tech.I really do believe that Subaru is the best car company.Not only are they rally proven and very safe in many climates, they have a huge community following. I have a lot of respect for people who love Subarus, because more often than not,I've noticed that they seem to be a benevolent breed of people.It’s not just because they bought a Subaru,it’s because of the common interest, and the decisions they made to buy it. Most adult people that drive Subarus are usually smart, safe, courteous, and adventurous. They are not dull "point a to b" drivers that don't care about life and what’s going on around them. Most of my closest friendships were made because of helping each other out with our Subarus. I can't even explain how much this pains me so much to re-home.I've had the pleasure of driving this swap for 13 years.We have been through a lot together, tons of Subaru meets, many car shows where we placed Best Subaru or 1st in class, 6 different times.The best win was Subiefest where there were 1000+ Subarus! We were also in a movie called "Born To Race"Plus, Travis Pastrana and Dave Mirra signed my dash! Now, on to details of the swap.This is a full JDM chassis swap, meaning there were 2 running and driving Imprezas, one JDM and the other USDM.Both cars were stripped down to bare chassis, then ALL theJDM parts, every nut/bolt, were swapped over to the USDM chassis, even the front and rear windshield glass with the hole for the wiper. I do still have the rear wiper/mount,just never installed it, a stuffed Curious George is in the hole. Winning bidder will get all of the swap progression pictures. The swap has around 120,XXX KMs, which only about 74k miles The only not factory Version 2 mods it has are: -JDM Version 3 facelift: Aluminum hood, Version 3 headlights, and matching grill -JDM Version 4 STi 4 pot brakes-JDM Version 6 seats -22B steering wheel -Optima Yellow Top -Whiteline steering rack bushings.-Infinity Kappa front speakers -ADDZEST rear speakers-WRX 6 disc in-dash stereo with red LED lights-18" prodrive wheels and good BFGoodrich tires with lots of tread.-Custom Flowmaster cat-back exhaust with 2 resonators, deepest sounding Subaru I've ever heard. This zero rust swap runs and drives awesome with ICE AC, hot heat, working TMiC spray, power folding mirrors and keyless entry remote too. Again, this is a full JDM STi chassis swapped 1993 FWD Automatic trans 1.8L Impreza, so the insurance is really cheap. I pay $27 a month and would be even cheaper if I got Collector Car Insurance, but last I checked, they limit your miles per year. I would also like the winning bidder to agree to a "first right of refusal"meaning if you ever think about selling it, you would give me a chance to buy it back from you before you list it.
