Vehicle Detail

this is not a show car, it is a restoration project, however, it is a well equipped 64 comet caliente that has a good running 260 v8 that fires up easily and does not smoke or knock, the engine is pretty quiet, exhaust is good with the exception of maybe a donut gasket on the passenger side that soulds like it needs to be replaced, the automatic transmission shifts fine, brakes and steering are not power but both work fine. i believe it was originally power steering because the bracket is still there but if you like, you could get another power steering pump and 2 lines and put it back in..the power top functions up and down smoothly and the top itself is in good shape that can use a good cleaning but no tears and the rear plastic window is clear, the front windows roll down fine, the rear may need work, i know the passenger side rear does not roll down and feels like its off the track. the frame is fine with no rot, body has usual rust but appear to need minor rust repair on some lower sections, trunk is basically solid with a small strip of rust through on each side about 1" wide but again not terrible. floors look pretty solid but i do see some rust under the rear seat ..the interior was being switched over from tan to white so the rear seat was done in white and some of the rear side panels were already done in white as well as a center console, i have all the rear panels and some new parts like weatherstripping for the trunk, new gas pedal, new horn ring, arm rests and a few other misc parts that all go with the car. lights and signals all work. front buckets need to be done over and the track for the passenger seat looks like the only thing missing...its a running and driving 2 door v8 equipped convertible from the 1960s so that alone makes it well worth it..this is a no reserve auction so please only bid if your going to buy, if you have questions, please ask them before the end of the auction. you may also feel free to stop by and check it out in person and i will fire it up for you, tires look newer but one front seems to have a slow leak somewhere but all have good tread and no dry rot. bumpers are not bad but front one has a dent that you may be able to get out by taking the bumper off or just replace it..the car is pretty straight and had a repaint to the blue that you see, i believe it was a light tan color..it is located in phila pa 19111, shipping is your responsibility but if your in the immediate phila area, a may be able to assist in delivery. On Jul-05-17 at 19:30:58 PDT, seller added the following information: someone asked about the carpet and the interior rear side panels, i have all the rear side panels in the trunk. and the carpets are newer and in good shape,,also , i have a center console for the car that goes with it. On Jul-06-17 at 07:56:29 PDT, seller added the following information: i was asked about the extra parts, email me at vjlanza@verizon.net and request photos of the parts and i will send them,,also, if you need photos of something specific, just ask and i'll be glad to take a few and send them to you.On Jul-06-17 at 15:51:19 PDT, seller added the following information: i know it says "302" on the air cleaner. it is not a 302, it is a 260 v8, it was just an extra air cleaner that was put on for better air flow.
