Vehicle Detail
Very Early Production 1962 MG Midget Extremely nice drivable condition. Original engine and transmission as well as many original early production parts. One of the few remaining cream steering wheel cars. Still retains the "wavy" MG grill badge, original chrome exhaust tip and "L" style boot handle. I sourced a few pieces of the NOS rubber matting over the years but am lacking the passenger side floor rubber. If you know these cars, then you know how difficult, if not impossible, these are to find. I have crossed the country twice in the car and she has performed splendidly both times. The story of the first trip was featured in MG Enthusiast Magazine back in February of 2013. The car was with me on Kauai for a few years and is now in North Carolina. I would not hesitate to drive it across again tomorrow. It is a very solid little runner. It has a few small blemishes, paint nicks and a small ding (less than a dime) in the rear. I'm about to make a big move and think it is time to finally part with it. Otherwise, I wouldn't dream of letting it go. I installed an electronic fuel pump before the last trip across country because the Mojave Desert temperatures were to hot for her original pump. The original is still installed and would just be a matter of connecting a hose. No other modifications from stock have been done to the car. No rust or rot has ever been found on the car and I've never found evidence of repairs. The car was painted sometime before I purchased it. I can not say with certainty that the mileage is correct, but given the multitude of original parts found on the car when I purchased it, I believe it to be very close. Happy to answer any questions.
