Vehicle Detail
They don't get any more fresh off the farm than this neat old truck. This old truck had been in the family for over 50 years. Had been sitting in the barn and not used for years, so was taken to town to get running and here were are. Truck starts instantly even after sitting for a week or two. It has the stock 6 cylinder engine with new starter, battery, cleaned carburetor, new points/condenser and cleaned fuel tank. Has the 2 speed rear axle with a 4 speed transmission all working great. It does need the left rear wheel cylinder repaired to have dependable brakes, but I can put brake fluid in the master cylinder and the brakes will pump up ok to use on the farm. 3 of the rear tires look good with deep tread, the forth one does not. All of the tires (including the front) are old. The truck has dents and scratches like any truck that has been used on the farm for over 50 years. The bed has a steel floor in it with no hoist or end gate. A handy old truck to build to a hot rod or use as it is. I recommend hauling the truck to it's new location due to the brakes not being 100% and the tires being old. If your fairly close and are the adventurous type, you could probably drive it. I will haul anywhere in the midwest (maybe farther) for $1 a loaded mile. I do have a good Missouri title in my name clear of any liens or issues. Buy as is as it is an old truck. Questions please contact me and I will answer right away or come take a look and drive the old truck around the pasture. Fun to drive as even my gal drove it!! My gal wanted me to revise the listing as she noticed I didn't say anything about the owner modification to the dash. If you look, the radio block off plate has been drilled full of holes. The previous owners daughter told me that these were put here and a golf "T" was used in these holes for a counter to keep track of how many loads went to town during a certain period. Just one of the things that gives this truck a lot of character. On Jun-24-17 at 19:00:26 PDT, seller added the following information: I mentioned on a question that this truck had rust in the floor under the clutch/brake pedal. This is a VERY minor spot. However, there is a square cut hole in the same spot where it looks like something was mounted there at one time. So not so much of a rust hole as a cut hole of about 1.5" square. Next I had a question about the bottom of the doors being rusty. I checked those and they are very solid. I would say that 80% of the original paint is still present. These doors are solid. The worst rust is shown in the pictures of the cab corner on the left side. The right side is very solid. Good luck with the bids and contact me if you have any other questions. Thanks!
