Vehicle Detail

1998 GMC K3500, Dually, Crew Cab, Long Bed, Fuel Injected 7.4L Gas V8, Automatic 4-sp Overdrive Trans, 4-Wheel Drive, White Exterior, Gray Interior, Pwr Steering, Pwr Brakes, Pwr Window, Manual Locks, Pwr Seats, Brake Controller, 5th Wheel Frame, 171,000 milesI just purchased a 1995 standard-cab, diesel truck that will be easier for my soon-to-be driving children to maneuver so I am selling this one. We bought it to move household goods and for hauling stuff around the house. I’ve pulled a car trailer with it, hauled wood and household goods in it and it pulls well. I have over $7,000 in it with purchase and work done. It has been a great truck, but is just too big for us now with kids driving. My loss is your gain. Truck is paid for and I have clean title in hand. Put new tires on her and she is ready to roll anywhere. The Good: Truck is mechanically sound. I’ve owned it for about 18 months and put 15K miles on it. Driven it from VA to OH multiple times, to and from SW CO and back last summer, and up and down the east coast on multiple long trips as well as daily to and from work. I would drive it anywhere with no worries. Since I’ve owned it I have replaced: rear brakes completely (drums, pads, wheel cylinders, wheel bearings, axle seals, and all hardware), rear driveshaft universal joints, radiator, water pump, power steering cooler, spark plugs/plug wires, driver’s side lower ball joint, blower motor and resistor. Has factory CD stereo with auxiliary plug. Interior is not torn and is relatively clean for its age. Has tinted windows, black wheel covers w/factory GMC center caps, and comes with above rails diamond-plated tool box. Frame is solid and body has little/no rust rot through. Truck does not have any significant leaks. Seats 6 with lots of room. AC blows cold. Cruise control works. The Bad: The truck spent most of its life in NJ, so while the frame is solid (no cracks or holes) it is a little rusty underneath. The body had one spot of cancer rust on passenger floor. It was caused by a warped exhaust flange where catalytic converters meet. I cut the cancer out, screwed in a piece of high-heat painted sheet metal bent to form. The seat supports were still intact & not compromised. The exhaust flanges are still warped, but I wrapped the flange in sheet metal so exhaust leak was not blowing directly up on the floor board and corroding it further. The paint is flaking like most trucks of this era. The worst spots are the door bottoms, but do not see any rust-through at this time. Rockers and roof have surface rust, but not rotted through and cab corners look good. The truck will need tires soon. Best tires are on the front right now and the rears aren’t great. It is drivable now, but I would not haul/pull without new tires. Had power door locks, but power does not work—the locks are operable manually.Truck is titled in OH, but is (and has been since we've owned it) in Southern VA. Truck is sold as is, where is. Shipping is responsibility of purchaser, but can be negotiated/arranged. I've bought and sold multiple vehicles on eBay and as always, I've done my best to provide honest description. Can provide more pictures of anything you would like upon request. $500 deposit due through PayPal within 24 hrs of auction close, remainder due within 7 days. Car won't move/title won't transfer until payment has cleared. Reserve is well below what the truck is worth. Truck is for sale locally, so reserve the right to end auction early.
