RECOMMEND that BUYER can REPAIR W116 Vehicles as this needs work....Vehicle comes with many parts requiring repair or replacement Starting bid is PRICED TO SELL as excellent eBay record of motivated and honest seller...financially motivated, doesn't have the time to fix up and no longer have a garage- MY LOSS, YOUR GAIN . Even if you parted out (which would be a shame), the total value of all plus extra parts far exceeds the initial bidding price. This is an excellent vehicle for restoration if you have the time and enthusiasm! 2nd Owner (since 2001 or 2002) -Always a N/NE California car with NO RUST that's never been near salt Excellent paint and clear coat from re-spray -couple of bumper chrome bar wrinkles and one paint scratch on passenger rear door -have touch up paint (see photos) -straight frame No cracks or chips in any glass Rebuilt engine (strong and smooth) and transmission (less than 40,000 miles on each)! Tires in fair shape plus excellent spare new 4 year battery (bought about 6 months ago) right side exterior mirror (needs to be installed as 280SE only comes with a left side mirror) dash after market cover excellent Pioneer CD Radio (after market) Passed smog 3 months ago -if buyer in CA, I'm required to smog again comes with lots of parts most maintenance records clean CA Title and current registration replaced entire drivers door internal hardware (less than a year old). old window glass and regulator saved for buyer if need later sheep skin seat covers for front (rear has been re-upholstered) and/or covers shown in photos list of items to be repaired / replaced: Engine Oil Pan has small cracks in rear -lose oil when running - can be repaired Transmission leak when sitting - figure something simple such as pan gasket as fluid smells ok and shifts perfectly Leaking power steering box - replace top seal or box Cracks/tears in side of driver's seat (very common) and right armrest but springs are good in TEX Interior -have replacement armrest Cracks in dash (very common) -comes with replacement skin and dark brown dash cover Climate Control doesn't work -comes with ACC II aftermarket digital replacement (not installed)Heat and A/C work (has R134) but can't have both at same time (see photo) -have parts for original server and amplifier to take it back to original Sunroof doesn't have enough umph to close all the way but doesn't leak -will provide used motor assuming contributing to problem Front Passenger window regulator mechanism needs work -regulator fine but needs window front guide bar re-installed -providing Vacuum Door locks don't work (very common) -providing many door vacuum kits that might get all them to work again
