Let me explain myself before I get started on describing what I believe to be the sharpest, most carefully planned and executed,’53 Chevrolet you will ever see. I’m not a dealer or someone who flips cars. I have sold three of my own cars on eBay over the years and I sold one for a friend several months ago. I am listing this car and two others for the widow of a friend who passed away recently. I don’t charge people. The only thing I get is a PayPal deposit and I pass the balance after selling expenses to the owner, the widow in this case. Then all sale proceeds go directly to the widow. I do the listings because I enjoy helping friends. First look you will think this car is stunning, but when you open the door you will find it to be much more than just stunning. Open the “suicide” doors. See the beautiful real wood dash and other panels. Check the top-of-the-line faux leather. Then take a close look at the paint and trim. Look at the trim paint on the side of the car. You might think the trim strips are decals. On no, these are painted on the car and by a descendant of Claude Monet. Open the trunk and open the hatch at the front of the trunk. See the air suspension equipment. Walk around front and open the hood. See the LS1 engine carefully installed there. No ordinary 350 crate engine for this guy. The owner of this (and his other cars) spared no expense in building this beautiful machine. OK, the equipment- Vintage Air, power windows, power steering, power four-wheel disc brakes, gorgeous faux leather and amazing wood. The LS1 puts power to the ground through a Chevrolet 4L60E automatic transmission and a nine-inch Ford rear end. The original odometer read about 38,000 miles and after the build the odometer only racked up about 225 miles. I have to admit that I’m not very knowledgeable about Chevrolet (or other customs for that matter). Ask me eBay questions and I’ll find the experts to provide the information. Thanks for bidding. The completed custom that I said had 225 miles on the (new) odometer should have also said the LS1 engine was new.
