NO RESERVE-HEARSE-1949 CADILLAC SAYERS & SCOVILL (S&S) LANDAU VICTORIA COACH $14K STARTING BID! 1949 was the first year for the original 331 V8 motor that is in this coach and in great condition! 3 speed on the column with a rebuilt transmission—shifts good in all the gears, new radiator and cap, new battery, new distributor, spark plugs, valve cover gasket and other gaskets; regular oil and fluid changes. Has carbonate 4 barrel manifold, odometer reads 57,865 original miles with clear title, exterior body of coach is very solid and painted charcoal gray metal flake, including fender skirts. Burgundy red velvet interior, charcoal carpet, burgundy red velvet curtains on side and back windows, rollers all in place. Electric wiper motor and wipers that work perfectly with new windshield washer bottle with original labels, suicide doors, floor compartment for storage, and a radio that works! Owned for 5 years switching out many parts for better ones from other 1949 Cadillac; i.e. bumpers, grill, trim, lights, door handles, windows; and also finished the interior. Driven short trips to local car shows, once on a longer 120 mile trip to a car show in Indianapolis, and to an actual funeral for a friend; runs very smooth and exceptionally well for its age! Some light rust on back bumper and a couple scratches, one on passenger side and one on driver side towards back—see pictures. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a vintage hearse that runs so well! This would make a terrific car for a funeral home or for a movie company! You can make money with this car as a limousine service, and/or have the only one of its kind at car shows! Turn heads with this one! NOTE: Coach has a 3 speed column shift, in and up is reverse, in and down is 1st, back and up is second, and down from that is third. Regular key switch and a starter button above that.
