1 of 2000 Special Edition Daytona 500 Pace Cars for 1981. RPO Code Y85. Original Build Sheet, PHS Documentation, Reproduction Window Sticker, And Binder with extensive Documentation back to 1991. This package included special white and black paint scheme on the exterior with NASCAR Graphics on lower front fenders and rear fenders. All examples were fully loaded with Turbocharged 4.9 Liter Pontiac V-8, AC,T-tops, Cruise,Tilt wheel, rear defrost. Remote trunk release, Delco cassette stereo, Red back lit gauges and unique Recaro interior with embroidered logos on the door panels and rear seat. 3 owner car with just over 51,000 original miles retains its original numbers matching drivetrain, paint and decals along with original interior. The car is in well preserved survivor condition with some minor nicks and scratches. During my ownership I have strived to preserve its originality and only repaired/ replaced any original parts for safety reasons or drivability. I have recently serviced the AC and replaced the original heater core and original battery cables as a precaution. All fluids have been changed and wear items replaced for safe driving. Since owning the car some of the major service items I have done are the original radiator re-cored, rebuilt the original Turbo charger with upgraded bearings and rebuilt the original numbers matching carburetor. The factory size BFG Radial T/A tires have less than 2,000 miles on them. Any original parts that I have replaced have been saved and will be included with the car along with a set of reproduction decals for the doors. Please contact me with questions.
