Vehicle Detail

This is an original 442 other than paint and wheels. Titled as a sport coup. Has original 400 big block, casting number 390925E. Original Muncie m21 close ratio 4 speed transmission with hurst 442 shifter. Has 390 gears, new tires, cragar ss wheels. Original interior. Carpet may have been replaced in the past. Looks like it was dyed black at one time. Currently has edelbrock intake and carb, but have originals in trunk. Car has no real rust. There is one spot where surface rust has bubbled through the paint. Easily fixed. Few more bubbles and cracks in the paint. Paint is in poor condition and not original. Front bucket seats need to be re covered, but back seat is near perfect. Floor pans and trunk pan are solid with no rust. Car runs great and drives down the road. If you have any questions, feel free to call. If you have a bidder rating less than 10, please call before bidding. I will cancel any bids from anyone with a poor bidder rating unless you call first. Thanks. Stan. 580-693-0129On May-08-17 at 18:17:15 PDT, seller added the following information: I had a comment from a bidder that this wasn't the original interior. I am not an olds guy, so I can't say for sure, but I did find a few pics of other cars with this interior. Thought I would post one from Barrett Jackson in 2014. If anyone has better info feel free to let me know. Thanks. On May-08-17 at 21:55:33 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had a few people message me telling me they didn't think the vin indicated that this is a 442 optioned cutlass. I may not be experienced with Oldsmobile's, but I know my old cars and trucks, and I know how to research them. From 64 to 67, 442 was an option only. Everything I've seen say's this is a cutlass sport coup with 442 option. The 3807 in my vin indicates Cutlass 2dr sports coup 442 option. The engine casting 390925E indicates a 66,67 400 442 engine (very rare). Just google the engine casting and the vin. Anyone who has any questions about the car is welcome to come take a look for themselves. Thanks. On May-09-17 at 05:58:22 PDT, seller added the following information: Just to be clear, the last interior pic posted is not my car. It is an example of a similar interior as mine. There was a comment as to the originality of the interior. It is not my actual interior. Thanks. On May-13-17 at 12:04:25 PDT, seller added the following information: Don't know if I'm making a mistake, but I'm lowering the reserve to sell the car. I do want to say a few more things about the car though. I can't add any more pics, but the glove box lid had a crack in the front of it, and some of the vinyl is flaked out. About 1" high and 3" long. The glove box insert is missing. The emergency brake cable is broken. Needs a clip to hold the driver window roller on. I bought some from Auto Zone, but they are a little too small to hold. The front marker lights are not there, but are in the trunk. I honestly can't think of anything else to add except that the interior is old and with exception of back seat and headliner, could stand to be replaced. The car is what it is. It runs and drives just fine. I also have the original title from 66, and misc. paperwork. No build sheet though. Havn't even looked. Please keep these small things in mind when you bid, because the reserve is not far away, and I believe very reasonable. Thanks. Stan.
