Vehicle Detail
For Auction is a 1966 Honda CB450 K0 Black Bomber with a four speed transmission. It runs, changes through all four gears and stops without issue.Exact Mileage is unknown. Cosmetically it’s in just ok condition, it was originally a North East Coast bike and is a little rusty in spots though it wears its condition reasonably well as an unrestored example. This is one of three K0’s I have and I never felt the need to restore it. New or Recent Maintenance items in the past 12 months. New Tapered Head Stem Steering Bearings InstalledNew Wheel Bearings (not yet installed)New Bronze Swingarm Bushings (not yet installed)New Cables - Clutch, Throttle, Speedo and Tacho (all grey), Front Brake (Black)New Rubber Cable Guides for Front Brake and Speedo CablesNew Fuel Petcock AssemblyNew Fuel LinesNew Tire Tubes and Rim TapeNew Heidenau Tires in Stock Sizes - Front 18 x 3.25, Rear 18 x 3.5New Drive ChainNew Spokes and Nipples, wheels rebuilt and trued with the original stock DID rims.New Hand Grips - Honda OEM (softer K1 Grips)New NGK Spark Plugs and NGK Resistor Plug CapsNew Fork Oil (Motul 10wt)New Engine OilNew Reproduction Seat Cover with Grey Piping and Silver Honda Logo (not installed)New AGM batteryNew Oregon Motorcycle Parts 42amp 3 wire rectifier (not installed)New Rear Brake Light SwitchCarbs Cleaned and RebuiltNew Rubber Carb Boots/Mounts and Gaskets For the purists... yes, some stuff isn’t original or as per OEM Honda spec those items are the K1 Hand Grips, the NGK Plug Resistor Caps. This is not a restoration, it is a running and useable motorcycle to be enjoyed without being too precious about it. It would make for a fairly easy restoration that would mostly only need to be cosmetic. The BadThe electric starter switch button needs a new spring. The knob for the seat latch is missing. There is a minor dent in the right side chrome tank cover. Some rust here and there as well as some scratches. The speedo isn't working, it is missing the glass and needles. The GoodThe expensive or hard to find parts are there, it has the correct K0 carbs with the correct tops, it has the K0 alternator cover, all fenders, badges etc. It can be ridden as is or partially restored bit by bit as you continue to enjoy riding it. I have the chain guard and it comes with the bike, it just wasn't installed when these photographs were taken. The title is clear, though it comes with a Transferrable New York State registration as this is what NY State issues for vehicles manufactured before 1972 and it was last registered in NY state as of 2016. I moved to Los Angeles less than a year ago and the bike is now in Los Angeles, though still with NY registration. I'm selling as I recently bought another bike and don't have the room for three Black Bombers anymore. A $500 Deposit is required within 24hrs of Auction end with the balance due within seven days.I’m happy to make the bike available for shipping though the shipping co-ordination and costs are the expense of the buyer. If you’re local, in person inspection is welcome.
