Vehicle Detail
1981 Honda Goldwing, GL1100 Interstate model, 2nd registered owner, 84K miles, most of which was accumulated by the original owner on a series of cross country trips. Purchased new on 12/15/80 from Shepard Honda in Rockland. Has been well cared for over the years and looks showroom new. The original burgundy metallic and decals are very nice, and other than having a few tiny chips, this bike is mint. The tires have plenty of meat on them, the engine is spotless and there are zero oil leaks. Has had regular service, oil and fluid changes, most recently last season, when a valve adjustment and carb synchronization were done and the water pump and timing belt were replaced. Retains its original fairing, windshield, hard cases, trunk and seat, which has no rips, and it has a number of OEM Honda accessories added by the original owner, including trailer hitch, chrome engine covers & accents, crash bar, highway pegs and front fender grille. Also has an AM/FM radio and the original Honda speakers. Includes the original key, Owner's Manual and tool kit, as well as a Haynes Repair Manual. This bike is an excellent runner and is road ready as is. If you're familiar with this generation of Wing, you'll be hard pressed to find a nicer one of this vintage, and I'm only parting with it because I got a great deal on a 1500. A Bill of Sale will be provided to the winning bidder, and the original title will also be included. Maine is a "Bill of Sale" state, so a title is not required for transfer, and the title remains in the original owner's name and has not been tranferred to me. Available for local pickup, but the winning bidder can choose to arrange for shipping at their expense. $500 deposit via Paypal due from winning bidder within 48 hours of end of auction, with balance due in cash at time of pickup, which must be within 14 days of the end of the auction. Bike is also for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end the auction early. Please message me with any questions or to request additional pictures. Thanks, Steve
