Vehicle Detail
1965 Mustang for sale that I have owned for about three years. I took this car in as partial payment on some work I had done. I will tell you as much as I know about the car. 302-4v-V8Factory C-codeC-code means it came from factory with a V8 engine although this is NOT the original engine or transmission VIN# STOC......Below is the information I obtained from the door tag Year: 5 1965 Plant: T Metuchen, NJ Body Series:072 Door Hardtop Engine: C289 2v V8 Unit: 158824158824 Miscellaneous Vehicle DataBody: 65B2 Door Hardtop, Pony Interior Color: M Wimbledon White Trim: 67 Lt. Aqua Crinkle Vinyl and White Crinkle Vinyl, Pony Interior Date: 30R April 30, 1965 D.S.O: 14 Pittsburgh Axle: 6 2.80:1, Conventional Trans: 13-Speed Manual If you have questions or would like pictures of something specific on the car please email me and will return your emails in a swift manner.. Thank you..... I have a clear title in hand. The paint is in great shape as pictures show as it's factory correct color. The interior is in great shape and I believe it is original but not 100% sure. There are splits on the front seats but it never bothered me and didn't see any reason to mess with it (as shown in pictures). All the guages, lights, blinkers, wipers, etc all work except for the inside right turn signal light and the radio stopped working but It did work when I got it (believe it's a loose wire somewhere). The engine is a 302 That starts right up and runs good. It has a 4-speed manual transmission in great condition that was just rebuilt and shifts good through all gears. It has a Ford 9 inch rear end that the previous owner told me has a "locker" rear end. I don't know what gears are in it.I believe the mileage is original but not 100% sure as it is exempt. I spent more time fixing and replacing things on the car than driving it. Below is a list of new parts:shocks fr. & rearSprings fr. & rear(bushings)Tranny rebuiltClutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing Harmonic balancerSway bar links Center Link, (2) Outer Tie Rods, (2) Inner Tie Rods, (2) Tie Rod Adjusting Sleeves, and Idler Arm.Upper control armsSpring saddlesTiresPedal bushingsProbably more but couldn't remember. This mustang drives well (keeping in mind cars 52 years ago don't drive like my Passat). Get's plenty of thumbs up. This pony rides on a nice set of American Racing rims that are mounted on a newer set of tires (95%). This is not a show car but overall a very nice driver.
