There was only cosmetic damage andit has been professionally repaired and painted since then. No damage was done to the cage or any other vital part. Let me clear this up. Rally cars are street legal because during a rally the car will be driven on public roads (called transits) with other motorists just like any normal car. In between the transits are closed off race sections called stages. This car is street legal. However, depending on your state there might be a hurdle. Some states/counties (i.e. TX) require a safety/emissions check before you can register the car. This car has a full M-Sport race exhaust with a catalytic converter (as per Rally America Rules) and because of that, the rear O2 sensor and evaporative emission controls have been removed. This turns on the check engine light. In some states the check engine light will fail the safety/emissions check. You will need to do your own research on this. However, in most states you can register your car without a safety/emissions check (VA, NH, MA, etc) making this a non-issue. Worst case scenario, if you choose, you can convert the car back to stock easily. I don't have the parts but they are easy to come by. Thank you!
