1977 Pontaic Trans Am SE Y81. This is a collector quality car. This is 1 of only 748 Black and Gold Y81 Special Edition Bandit Trans Am. This car like most Special Edition Trans Am's is loaded with options including the very rare D58 Rear Seat Console. Please see the picture with the window sticker for complete list. It has the 400 6.6 litre L78 4 BBL V8 engine with the Automatic Turbo Hydromatic transmission. To the best of my knowledge the complete drivetrain is numbers matching. The car has had a recent tuneup and brakes gone through by a certified mechanic. The car was originally sold in Covington Louisiana at Letsch Pontiac. I purchased the car from a collector about ten years ago from Michigan. Since then it has been lovingly cared for along with my four other Trans Am's. The odometer shows 20,912 miles but I have no way of knowing if that is the true mileage. The previous owner (the 4th) told me that the paint job is from 1992. It has a beautiful shine (just detailed) but does show minor signs of spider cracks on the plastic bumper covers. The only bad thing I can say about this car is that on the bottom rear of the drivers side door has a quarter size rust area coming through (see picture). The interior is original and in very good shape. The headliner, dash, carpet, etc are in great shape. It does have a period correct Sony cassette player, radio works but not sure of cassettes. I have the original build sheet along with some Service records starting in 1977 that will go with the car. This car has PHS documentation and would be a great car to drive and attend shows with, or just add it to your collection.
