Vehicle Detail

**NOTE: eBay will not accept the foreign VIN in the listing, but the actual VIN is: SALLDHHC7BA260926. Car is currently registered in Virginia. Due to an offer that fell through a day after the transaction was completed, I'm re-listing. I'm unfortunately getting rid of the Rover. Heading out of the country for a new job in about 5 months and am slowly selling off all my belongings and the beast has to be a part of it. Purchased it in 2011 and have been slowly restoring it. As you can can see the, the doors look brand new; this is due to a door frame replacement. I took the rusty inner frames out and replaced it with the Rovers North galvanized kit with new weep holes and had them repainted in the process...with the intention of doing the whole thing...hence the different shades of blue. As far as other maintenance/repairs: 2012 Replaced timing belt and water pump @ 163,000Replaced main oil seal 2013Replaced door frames and removed floor mats that were trapping water 2016In the past 500 miles:-Replaced steering box-Replaced all four struts and two front shock towers-Replaced tie rod ends/performed alignment-Replaced steering stabilizer-Swapped for Optima gel cell battery As you can see in the pics, I've tried to show what rust there is. The only major spots are on the Driver's Side (right) windshield corner as well as the bull bar on the bumper. Somehow the joint has rusted. Could easily be fixed by cutting it cleanly and welding a new bolt plate to it. Or, I can provide a new aftermarket bumper that was to be added for an additional price. The truck also has a box of parts that I can throw in for 50% of cost (receipt included) that I was intending on installing this summer that I can throw in for cost as well. The parts include all of the seals for the cab...all the gaskets for all of the windows as well as the alpine lights. Door seals, cab seals. Mud flaps with mounting brackets, bushings for the chassis. I also have a Webasto winterizing kit/heater that I was intending to add as well, but never got to that can be negotiated for as well. The truck runs very well. It will typically start after one crank unless it's fairly cold and I've yet to find any issues with the engine or trans. With the new suspension and steering it handles like a champ both on and off-road. With the 300 TDI, I can usually get about 26 mpg on the highway-not bad considering it has the aerodynamics of a brick. Idles on hardly any fuel as well. I had to sleep in it in the mountains last winter with it running to keep warm and it used barely a gallon of diesel in the course of 7 hours. Feel free to send an email if you have any additional questions or want more/specific pics. I really hate to get rid of my baby, but I'm headed to Australia for the foreseeable future...maybe I'll come back with another. I think you'll have a hard time finding one that runs this well and has been as nicely maintained until you jump up into the $35k+ price range. Very little rust which, if you know Defenders, you'll be hard pressed to find one as clean as this.
